I really liked the movie, but would still give the edge to Casino Royale. I couldn't quite get on board with the Home Alone climax.

Really like Skyfall, it's obviously a huge step up from Quantum but no Casino Royale.
Not much I can add that others haven't already mentioned... But I am kind of annoyed they've fallen back into a lot of the Bond cliches. Q was fine, it was a simple touch but we didn't need the Moneypenny return or M behind the big sound proof door in the wooden office. I liked how Casino set the mold for a new Bond, and here they seemed more then happy blow that all up.
All that aside it was a very entertaining Bond movie. Bond being shot off the train was a nice wow moment.. And Yah, that Adele open was just great.

As long as they can modernize the vintage Bond cliches, it should be fine. Craigs Bond is a lot more rough than a Moore's Bond.

You're back from the dead like Bond after he got shot off the bridge. Have you been getting CPR all this time until someone revived you? Or were you frozen in a block of carbonite?

Oh, I agree with that. I just meant that in Casino Royale it was so refreshing to have a Bond movie not beholden to all the beats previous movies had to hit.
-Flirt with Moneypenny
-Meeting with M in office
-Meet with Q
etc etc etc
When Craig became Bond they did things as they saw fit, didn't force Bond cliches into the movies. In Skyfall they really forced all those all things back in for some reason. Small quibbles though, as I liked some of the nods to the past. Threatening to eject M from the car was hilarious.
Albert Finny has to come back as Kincade though, he was great. Also though Javier Barden was one of the best Bond villains.

Well it only took 3 Nolan movies for Batman to get really old so I guess they are at least on par.

So no one noticed the massive collar gap? No excuse for Tom Ford suits that retail for over $5000.

Collar Gap is the new trend. Everyone is doing it now, even James Bond.

I found it very irritating. The suits didn't fit. Bond looked better in the Brioni. He's supposed to wear tailored suits; you don't get collar gaps in a suit that is constructed specifically for you.

I have the same problem with my tailor. "Dude, I don't know how many times I have to tell you - when I'm chasing some guy across the top of a train in Istanbul, and he's shooting an automatic weapon at me, the LAST thing I better be concerned about is whether or not my collar is gapping."
Don't even get me started with cufflinks. Sure, they double as buzzsaws for cutting through handcuffs, but does that mean they can't be stylish too?

Only T-shirts tucked into jeans with no belt, and hiking shoes. The standard casual Friday attire of Engineers everywhere.

He hasn't drilled a chick in the end in any of the Craig films.

I re-watched Casino Royale the other night. Although there was no Moneypenny, they did pay homage to her. I think it was something along the lines of:
Vesper: I'm the money.
Bond: Every penny?
I think I noticed it before, but caught it once again this time.
