Yeah, that theme song/intro was perhaps one of the best ever. Just so cool all around.

Question, though, for Bond aficionados. Wasn't Casino Royale kind of like a James Bond "reboot" of sorts? If that's the case, didn't it seem odd that two movies into the reboot they're talking about how Bond is old and has lost it and technology has passed him by, etc.?
I might be wrong but that's what I took out of it.

I agree. I really liked Skyfall, but that one aspect didn't sit with me well. Casino Royale was supposed to be Bond's beginning, and now he's too old?

But I think that the "old" theme was something they played on specifically to dismiss.
So old is brought up and, in the end, shown that it doesn't need to be a bad thing.

The career of a top end spy isn't suppossed to be that long, and, in fact, they mention that several times through the latest movie. For Casino Royale, Daniel Craig was 38. He's now 44. After two more films, he'll be closer to 50.
Makes sense that it would take you at least until your mid 30s to gain double O status. After that, how many bullets and near death situations can one survive.

Loved the film. Couldn't get over the fact that his suits didn't fit him properly. I mean, come on, Hollywood.

I can't fathom the amount of people disliking this movie. I thought it was awesome, easily one of the best ever.

It's the european fitted look. I for one think there's never been a better dressed James Bond.

I'm not an Adele fan but wow was that ever a spectacular intro/theme combo. Just fantastic. I will go see the movie again and that is honestly a big reason I'd go again.

^ It was mesmerizing.
And I had heard Adele's Skyfall like a billion times before the movie but combined with the visual theme, it was just on another level.

By far the best Bond intro yet.
Well, either this or Casino Royale.

I'm amazed nobody's written about how beautifully shot and lit this movie is. Mendes and company did an incredible job making the film great to look at. The scenes that stand out most are the Macau scenes and the climax at the chapel. Technically speaking, this is the best Bond film ever made and I don't think another one comes close.
I think the bar has just been raised for what a Bond film should look like.

Seems like it got taken down though, hmph. Strange, it was posted up by the guy who created it, not just some third party. MGM must've had some words with him or somehting.

Care to elaborate on that one?

The trend for suits right now is the very short jacket with a taipered waist. Normally Bond is just confined to Tuxes. I thought they did an amazing job of coordinating suit, jacket, shirt, and hankerchief colours.

It was a great movie, absolutely just loved how they set it up. Considering they allegedly cut the budget and couldn't make it as flashy as usual, it forced them to go in a different direction and it worked
