Very satisfying win. A loss would have been hard to take as it's bad enough having to put up with Canucks fans gloating but the only fanbase that puts Canucks fans in a positive light is Riders fans and it was very satisfying to see those classless losers go home with a loss.

Funny thing is that he threw better after the hit as in the 2nd half his balls had more zip and accuracy.

Typical. The Riders are always the best team and only lose when the refs give it to the other team. It was a surprisingly well officiated game for the most part actually and I expect a fine for that hit on Tate which as about as intentional a dirty play as it gets.

Video of the Tate post-game interview: http://www.calgarysun.com/2012/11/11...ting-bell-rung
Hard to say -- between the emotion of the game and everything... watching the interview after half-time, it seemed pretty obvious (to me) he wasn't serious, but who knows. He certainly did play better in that second half -- typically guys who are concussed (especially quarterbacks) aren't able to come back like that...

I agree. The guy was pretty much in tears. That was the same interview I saw on Global Sports but just first half though. They didn't show the part about him saying he just had his bell rung. It doesn't look serious though.

Back to TSN, now that they had the first full Sportscentre since the game.
Its as if they are rushing through the highlights. A limited number of highlights, 2tds shown for both teams and Tates hit against, thats about it. Missing some of the big albeit more subtle plays like the 5 points (difference in the game outside of the last second rouge)on the blocked extra point and long fg at end of the first half. You'd think that there should be as comprehensive a highlight package as you'd see anywhere, but no. I suspect you'll see more highlights on The Score tonight.
TSN just had as many highlights and post game from the Saints and Falcons.

Tate is an odd fellow but it's hard to hate a guy that's so passionate. Reminds of Garcia. (No I'm not saying he is as good as Garcia) Huff made the right decision.

I gotta say, the reaction on riderfans.com just makes this victory that much sweeter. Worst fans in sports.

Its still unbelievable to me that Stamps actually snatched the victory away from the Riders. I thought the Stampeder's were the better team for 80% of this game. But the final 3 minutes of the 1st half and the final 5min of the game were absolutely Incredible.
Tate is defiantly a win big on a play or go home kind of guy, borderline reckless but winners take big chances. Happy as a final how this game ended, happy for the players but really happy for Tate with losing his Grandma so soon to this game and playing through that cheap helmet to helmet shot. He faced alot of adversity coming into this game and during the game and still came out the victor.
His personality with wanting to win so badly and his brutal unpolished honesty is refreshing to see in sports nowadays period.
This kid earned allot of respect yesterday.

Looks like Tate is A-OK!
Ian Busby @SUNIanBusby
Huf says Tate passed memory tests all through the game, afterwards and today. He came through with "flying colours" in all #calstampeders

I actually wasn't too surprised by this.
When a player comes back from injury they are always a little hesitant until they take that first big shot and can get up from it.
Tate hadn't really taken that shot yet and once he did he appeared to be more relaxed in the pocket.

He got hit pretty hard. Not that he surprising if he acted a little weird off the field.

I see those babies over at RF.com banned you. They can't handle the truth! Honestly though, that board used to be OK a few years ago but now it's all name calling and everyone is out to get the Riders etc. I just go there just for the laffs now (especially after a Rider loss), the days of thoughtful football talk are long gone.

Jon Cornish trolling the melonheads over at riderfans.com is pretty funny. Kinda immature, but funny.

Did anyone else think that the Riders coach saying "hit them in the mouth, hit them in the mouth, hit them in the mouth" was uncalled for and borderline suspendable?

High ratings for both Semis:
Arash Madani @ArashMadani
Good for the #CFL. Playoff telecasts drew 1.2 and 1.6 million viewers for East and West semi's respectively. Staggering figures.

Nope. That's football. Guarantee that all the coaches were saying that on both sidelines, or something to that effect.

Corey Chamblin says hit them in the mouth. Then Tearrius George headbuts Drew Tate.
