'about the length of 4 1/2 CFL fields.'. LOL, that is about 7 or 8 NFL fields, right?
No. A CFL field is 110 yds, plus two endzones @ 20 yds each, which is a total length of 150 yds. A NFL field is 100 yds, plus two endzones @ 10 yds each, which is a total of 120 yds.
4.5 CFL fields is about 5.6 NFL fields, so about 5-6 NFL fields in your terms. You're off by about 180 yds.

lol, probably not quite what the city had in mind when the built it. "Well some people use it to get to the airport, most others just do multiple passes through it to listen to how awesome their cars sound"

I know it's been shown, and I can't find it in this thread, but can someone link or post an over-head view of where Barlow Trail is, and where the tunnel goes in conjunction with it?
I've never fully understood why Barlow was shut down, and where this tunnel goes and connects to.

Barlow Trail went north south from Airport Road to McKnight. This tunnel is going east/ west between the current end of Airport Trail to, for the time being, 36th Street. Eventually, airport Trail will be one continuous toad from Harvest Hills Blvd to Stoney Trail in the east.
