That is a manager under serious pressure.

Must say that the ref in the Madrid/Dortmund game was stellar. Just a great game all around.

Any one watch the BvB game on tv?
How did each side look? Man of the match?

BvB dominated the first half, RM the 2nd half

Madrid made changes at half time bringing on Essien and Callejon and it changed the game

Hummels was great

Cüneyt Çakır is certainly one of the best refs I've noticed.

I really enjoy watching Dortmund play. High skill and fast. It's too bad the Bundesliga stuck on GolTV.

As was Schmelzer. Very back and forth game, one that I'm really not wanting to delete from my PVR.

As for the Schalke game, I love Huntelaar's desire to win, amazing. Even when hes defending corners hes intense. Does Vermaelen play for or against Arsenal? Whatever happened to his steady defending?

Hopefully I can get the #9 BvB jersey I got for my birthday in time for the knock out stage! All sizes are on back order.

Stoked to see a team I support on top of a group. This never happens. Plus they were missing Błaszczykowski for both matches with Madrid.

he roams too much

I'll be watching Bayern vs. Lille, but the other big match is Chelsea vs. Shakhtar.

Bayern's lineup against Lille is very odd.

Dante gets a start at LB, they're fielding a very strong midfield of

Ribery - Muller - Robben

Schweinsteiger - Martinez

But, interestingly only have Claudio 'Old Man' Pizarro as a striker. No striker sub on the bench even. Signs of a thin squad? Kroos I guess could play as a striker. But 3 defensive subs, 3 midfield subs and they field their 3rd string striker, whos getting on in age, with no sub? Not even a contingency for if/when he gets tired or becomes ineffective?

Well, that was quick. Chelsea and Bayern both off the mark in the 5th minute.

Could always push Muller into the strikers role and bring in another midfielder if Pizarro tires.

There are options, although Muller is usually one of the first substituted and, as I mentioned, Kroos is there as well. It just seems an odd selection for a CL game.

I know Gomez is injured but wheres Mandzukich?

As I say that Pizarro makes it 2-0.

Good old Willian. Can always count on him.

Power or craft? Power. Robben makes it 3-0 with a powerful free kick that takes one hell of a deflection off a defender.
