Anyone know where to buy a big, cheap mirror? It doesn't need to have a fancy frame or anything, in fact plain is better. I'm looking for at least 3'x4' or 3'x5', but preferably larger.

There's been a couple good suggestions already, but I've also had good luck buying large mirrors at big box home improvement stores. (Home Depot and Lowes)

Has anyone every experienced something like this? Am I blowing things out of proportion?

Casual chat at a pub if you can manage it. That way it can be casual and he can leave. But yeah man, something is bugging him but try and avoid escalation. Before you get to confrontation or depression or anything that severe just give him the casual "whats up man? Whats going on?"

My father swears on them. He says there are many times he'll see a deer approach the road and then back away, which isn't something they are known for doing. He's live in deer infested areas his whole life and never come close to hitting one.

Anecdotal evidence aside, there's a number of studies that claim they don't do a thing but look goofy on your car.

Aren't they about as likely to turn around and run as they are to charge ahead? Unless they're chasing food or tail, deer aren't exactly predictable animals.

Are employers required to give a day off for Remembrance Day? I can't find any concrete information. It's recognized in Alberta, but it falls on a Sunday and doesn't specify if Monday is to be given off, etc.

I don't think they are required to do that. Some workplaces are open and I don't think a lieu-of day is given.

I saw (via Twitter) that there were new painted lane markings put in at the traffic circle in Mackenzie Towne over the weekend. I don't live in the area but I do got to the gym there. If the GMG thread has taught me anything it's that one should be prepared in all driving scenarios in order to not piss off other drivers.
So my question is this: were there any changes, or were the people complaining about the 'changes' just doing it wrong all along?
Thank you

There weren't any changes regarding the rules and conventions of driving in a traffic circle, but there are all sorts of signage and lines painted on the road now. There's a white line dividing the inside and outside lane of the circle, as well as a bunch of yellow lines indicating/guiding people into the proper lane. There are also two signs at the entrance of the circle at every entrance. One for the left lane, and on for the right lane. Frankly, I don't think these signs are necessary, and in fact I think they could end up confusing people more than helping.
I'm sure the people that complain about it are the ones that were doing it wrong in the first place.

Without going into too much personal detail, a health issue could be the culprit. That sounds kind of like me with hockey and drinking and stuff like that after dealing with a health problem.
If you feel sick and tired all the time, and know you look that way, it can be tough to hang out, and be physically active, especially when it's going to be very noticable.
"Dude, you look kinda pale and weak"
"Hey man, you alright, looks like you're going to pass out"
"Hey, you're not drinking as much as usual, everything alright?"
"You bored? You look tired"

Speaking of whistles, do dog whistles actually work? Do they benefit or harm the dog in any way?
