What rate are you being offered on a 59 month term?

Yes they do. I'm not sure if the dollar value has ever been quantified, however. There has probably been a study on that.

Why? I thought they discontinued new vanity plates?

Those are terrible rates. I just got 3.09 on a 5 year about 2 months ago.

This thread would have died at post 2 if everyone thought like that.

I am going to be going away for 13 days. I remember a while back there was some discussion regarding long term parking rates at the airport and someone seemed to know the cheapest rates to go. If I recall there was a $50 rate for a full week or something. What is the best way to go?

The Economy lot was the way to go last time I flew. $39 for the week and a 7 minute walk from the car to the terminal.

Its the economy lot. I used it last spring for a week and I think its $40. Just drive in past the parkade in the right hand lanes (the opposite of the normal parking!) and its on your right. I think there is another way in from Airport Trail, but I am not sure. Way better than Park and Jet or whatever...just a 5 min walk or so.

What are those rubber strips hanging from underneath the bumper?

I was once told they were for defending against static or something random like that.
Seemed odd and now I'm seeing more and more of them.

Considering it takes 10 minutes for the combines wait/drive with park and Jet, I see no drawbacks.

Ugh, nothing was worse than waiting for the Park n Jet bus in -25 weather with nothing but a hoodie on. (We were going to Hawaii, so we left our coats in the vehicle.) Took them 20 minutes to reach us because they had to go down every aisle, even though we were pretty much the only family waiting that morning.

One of the main reasons that I have heard is that it basically grounds the vehicle for people who get car/motion sickness. Apparently it works.
