I think automated cars are inevitable which blows.
Hopefully I'm too old and messed up to drive myself before they become mandatory.

Hell, I refuse to get an automatic because that already takes out so much of the fun when driving.

Some people enjoy driving. I for one, love it. If gas was cheaper and I was bored, I'd jut cruise around for fun.

Forget it, sister. Not gonna happen.
You also have to take into consideration that people are getting progressively stupider.

Exactly. And why is this? Technology plays a huge part in this. Technology has gotten to the point it make our lives safer and removes the Darwin aspect of life. The thinning of the herd doesnt happen and the stupid are allowed to breed.

Just look at cars. The amount of technology in todays cars compared with the 1970s is staggering. We have cars now with anti-lock brakes, traction control programs and even cars that parallel park themselves. The manual shifter is all but dead as well. Morons are allowed to get behind the wheel because a moron can operate the car.

Too bad they still dont know how to drive it.

I don't think flying cars will ever be practical (if operated by humans), but I do think there are possibilities with hover cars. It would eliminate road conditions, and winter driving would be just like normal driving.

Popular Mechanics promised this back in the 50s but
sooner would be better. There are no roads out of here.
