cheeky lad, this made me lol.
Big game tomorrow morning. I like Wenger asking visiting Gunners fans to be warm to RVP.

I thought the Suarez dive was funny. He was channeling his inner Klinsmann. Moyes wound him up about diving all week and then Suarez lit Everton up.
And if I were Wenger I'd hope RvP has a nice quiet day. But thats how Arsenal roll. I'd rather have someone saying "get tight, and get stuck in every time hes near."
It shouldnt be a 'welcome home,' it should be a "welcome to Hell."

It's at Old Trafford. The welcoming committee will be the traveling fans in the East End.
I suppose I shall agree, that it is hell for visiting teams.
Van Persie have a quiet night? 7 goals in 9 games says, unlikely

I thought it was at the Emirates. Arsenal are probably going to bend over and lube up for this one. Should be a fun weekend for United fans. Do they get Webb or Clattenburg as well?

It'll be interesting. United have far more firepower and based on Arsenal's defending of late, a motivated RvP should be all they need.

Looking forward to it, games against Arsenal are usually never boring. I expect a close game though, despite Arsenals recent struggles ... after last year's game at Old Trafford, they'll be motivated like hell. Plus playing against RvP ...

I expect Rooney and RvP to score so many goals that its referred to as the "Goalstravaganza of Ought 12."

well, it wasn't, but United should have scored at least 2 or 3 more today ... Rooney with a horrible penalty, Valencia fell over his own feet instead of scoring unmarked and RvP wasted a one-on-one chance against Mannone. Nevertheless a fine performance by United and a deserved 3 points.
After 3 assists against Chelsea on Wednesday, Anderson was again bright today after his introduction, he is in fine form right now. He deserves more game time.

Quite a dull uncompetitive game. Arsenal just didn't look interested today at all.
Was weird seing Santos asking for van Persie's jersey .... at half time. He's going to catch a lot of flak for that.
Tough times to be an Arsenal fan. I checked out Piers Morgan for a laugh but can't really argue with the majority of his comments and doubt his passion as a fan. I don't necessarily feel that it's mostly Wenger's fault but that management needs to spend to compete or they're just going to keep losing their top players whilst struggling to attract others.
Somethings has to change there. They're a shadow of what were and what they can potentially be.

I doubt that Wenger is the problem and I doubt firing him would improve Arsenal's situation ... IMO that would only make matters worse. He surely isn't innocent when it comes to the transfer policy and I guess some decisions have been more than questionable, but you can't ignore how well he can develop young players and he still has a good eye for young talent. He probably shouldn't be blamed as much as he often is, I think Arsenal's problems run deeper than the manager position.

Frustrating, super frustrating.
I think this year's squad is an all-round improvement over last year's and that's why I was very upset at what at first looked like simply a lack of effort by the team. However, I think we have to give Rooney and United's midfield credit and level the blame where it is deserved.
United's midfield really handcuffed Arsenal in the centre of the park, which required Arsenal to use width. Unfortunately, Arsenal's wide players could not provide that necessary width. Podolski was non-existent and, as much as I want to blame Ramsey, that's not his position. That being said, intelligence and hard work could have helped make up for that but neither seemed to be exerted. It was a bit of bad luck as two of our wingers are out injured and Walcott played 120 minutes mid-week.
While I can't fault Arsene and the board for not going out and buying another winger as we have enough, I can fault them for not improving our options at left back. Santos was terrible and I'm not sure what he is doing both playing defence and for the Arsenal. The shirt swap defintely sealed it for me, he needs to go.
Moving to the centre of defence, Vermaelen needs to ride the pine for a while. Quite often we overlooked his follies because his storming runs up the pitch provided goals but the goals are drying up and the goal differential becoming heavily unfavourable.
While Arsene certainly could have done better, I think a few of the players need to take real hard looks in the mirror. Also, we really missed our injured/tired players today.

Good result for West Ham today. The West Ham wall stood tall and they should have had the Nolan goal in the first half. Last week I felt that they were really missing Vaz Te and I still think they are, but can survive for the time being. I think this was a guaranteed loss going in for most hammers supporters, but I guess you gotta 'respect the point'.
