Not really, Shinnimin had his big year at 20. Though Lipon went undrafted he did get a camp invite from the Avs this year and hes only 19.
Shinnimin had 134 points last year but Lipon is on pace for 169. And how about Colin Smith - Colorado has to be loving that pick in the 7th round.
Apologies for turning this into a Blazers thread...but they are quite a story right now.
Surprised at the lack of Hitmen fans in here given its a loçkput year.

Don't apologize, it's really cool to stay up to date with them based on all the updates you've been giving. I really enjoy it. A 15 game undefeated streak is impressive, to do it at the beginning of a season is incredible. I suppose you worry about peaking too early in a season but the way they are going, it could be a season long hot streak!

The Oil Kings picked up David Musil from the Giants today. This has been speculated since the season started, the next big name to move is likely Joey Leach.

Does this mean more ice time/greater role for Kulak?

Likely and for everything I've read and heard he has played quite well on a terrible team so far this season. It wouldn't surprise me if Kulak gets moved before deadline.

Should be a great game in Medicine Hat tonight with Kale Kessy coming back as a member of the Vancouver Giants. In other words likely not as he will likely try to decapitate someone like Hunter Shinkaruk. Which of course would piss off everyone on the Medicine Hat side and bad blood would spill out.

After a couple of bag skates this past week, the Hitmen respond with 2 really solid efforts in Regina and Brandon. They play their 3rd game in 3 nights later on today in Moose Jaw.

Hitmen completed their 3 in 3 tonight. They won again tonight, 2-1 in OT vs Moose Jaw. They won all 3 games and improve to 11-4-1-2 on the season.

I'm gonna give some love to my howntown Hurricanes! They have played really well lately and the couple games I have gotten to this year have been great! A young, fast team, really fun to watch and learning how to win tight games, only 3 pts behind the Hitmen for first in the conference! Ty Rimmer has been lights out and they are getting contributions from everyone!

Brampton Battalion moving to North Bay next year. Too bad, hate to hear that but the Battalion have had poor crowds since Day 1.

Look out for the Kelowna Rockets.
They are starting to gel as a team. Not the most talented especially up front but they are coached very well and buying in.
It's a very versatile team that can play any kind of game and those are the hardest to beat in the playoffs. Just took out Kamloops and Edmonton and made it look easy. Their defensive structure is incredible right now, subpar goaltenders are getting multiple shutouts without having a difficult save in a game. And they don't even have 20-year old help, all three of their 20s are complementary character guys, not stars in the league.
Kelowna is very fortunate to have a team with such a strong hockey ops with an eye for talent.
Their years-long sellout streak finally ended this year and season tickets are actually available without a waiting list for the first time ever. Managed to snag a pair of season tix at center ice, have an inkling tickets will be a very hot commodity in the next couple of years again.
Kelowna should get out and support their team. It's going to be already is a good one.

Royals have lost six in a row on the road now. Wow. From 9-4 to 9-10 just like that. Last game on the roadtrip tonight. The 5-game homestand coming up can't come soon enough.

Been to three games this year and I think they will definitely make a run at the league next year but I don't expect much this year other than maybe a couple rounds of playoffs. Roster is really good, forwards are actually better than I thought they'd be, but just too young.
Kamloops roster is half 19 and 20 year olds and I think this year is their window to win the league... they're going to load up with a couple high profile rentals this year for sure if they've got any sense and I don't think Kelowna will be able to run with them over a 7 game series. If Girgensons and Kerdiles had come up the Rockets would have been amazing this year - amazing how much things that are out of their hands impact CHL teams.
Building was pretty much full every night I've been, maybe a couple hundred seats empty but still very good for the dub.

Actually they are stone cold already.
Haven't been able to catch any of the past few games (all losses) but it seems that the confidence they had as a team has turned completely 180 and they are losing to some pretty bad teams. Also seems like injuries are hurting them as well (Grist, Willick).
Junior hockey is like that - more based on momentum than NHL since its just young kids playing and they tend to not have that even keel.
Blazers have gone from chasing records (all-time greatest season ever perhaps with 60+ wins) to being in danger of losing their hold on the division in the next couple weeks if this continues.
This is where coaching staff earns their salary. Will be interested to see if Charron can turn them right in the head because there's something massively wrong right now.

Law of averages has caught up with them. They got all the breaks early on and right now are just having a tough go of it. Still a very good team but its a long season and now we see what they are really made of.
Hitmen have won 5 in a row and host the Ice tomorrow.
