True, but I'd be fine with a re-casting of the main characters to serve the timeline. Such a great trilogy.

It's too bad Avengers 2 is coming out in 2015 as well. Joss Whedon could have pulled this off.

So recast! Just alter the ending a bit so it's not as cheesy as in the books.

I second whoever it was (Polak?) who said Pixar should get Star Wars.

I can't see that working out well. Wasn't John carter of mars basically The result of giving live action sci fi to Pixar people?

Pixar movies are not without flaws. They are usually beautiful visually, and have had some great characters. But they often struggle at putting a whole story together. Ie. up and wall e had a couple of the best first acts in movie history, but the last half of both of those movies was utterly forgettable. Toy story movies didn't do much for me.

			Dear Disney,
Please release the original trilogy, I don't want to see Hayden Christensen's stupid ####-face smirking at me when it should be the old man who was redeemed, next to Odi-Wan and Yoda at the end of Return of the Jedi.

I can't imagine Disney cutting Lucas out of this movie.
However, I am far more excited to see an Episode 7 than I ever was to see an Episode 1, 2, and 3.

Maybe the lack of specific source material to follow would mean he would do a better job with this but I dunno.

I couldn't see Star Wars fitting into Christopher Nolans style, he'd be much better suited for the next Bond.

I know, lets give Jackson, Nolan and Tarantino a movie each. That way all of the directors with fan boys get a shot |
I am assuming that half hour of crap you refer to is the end of Return of the King? And that half hour ending could have been extended to a fourth movie if he actually included everything that happens in the book.

Lots more goes down that what he decided to include.
