If this is for real I will shed tears of joy, and we can declare that this is no longer the darkest timeline.
If you click the link to the Citytv website, it says that the air date is January 11, 2013. I don't see anything on the site that indicates it's returning sooner.
If it did say November at one point, it was probably just a typo.

If Community aired in Canada before the US, that would be it. Every American fan would pirate it and when it finally airs there, there would be 3 viewers.
The Quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little, and it will fail, to the ruin of all. Yet hope remains while the Company is true. Go Flames Go!
When the delay was first announced, one of the cast tweeted that we'd love the Halloween episode airing on Valentine's Day. It looks like they knew what they were talking about (the Halloween episode is going to be the second episode of the season, which will air on February 14 if it returns on February 7).
With that air date, presumably it will be taking over for 30 Rock once it finishes its shortened season.

Well that means they probably won't extend the season as that would take them into summer... I guess they could announce the other half season for next year but I'm not overly confident.
O'well we might not get six seasons and a movie but at least we got 3 and a half seasons and an Alison Brie and Gillian Jacobs sexy video.
If it does get cancelled I still have a hope that it will get picked up by a cable network.
If they air one episode per week for 13 weeks, the season finale will air on May 2. I think it's safe to say they won't get more than the original 13 episodes.
That at least gives them the ability to plan the 13th episode as the graduation/season/series finale.
In sort-of-related NBC comedy news, yesterday news came out that they are going to re-tool Up All Night and switch from being a one-camera show to become a traditional 3-camera sitcom, shot in front of a live audience. That can probably be looked at as another nail in the Community coffin. With 30 Rock and The Office going off the air after this season and Parks & Rec in a similar ratings struggle, NBC is moving back towards a more traditional sitcom line-up (although, their biggest new comedy this season is Go On, which is a one-camera show). NBC also canned the plans for their Dwight-centric Office spin-off, but it sounded horrible anyway.

With The Office finally coming off the air, I wonder if NBC gives Parks and Rec a big push to replace it. Parks and Rec is still amazing and story wise makes sense, opposed to The Office which story wise made no sense (Jim always wanting to leave yet he says for 10+ years).

I never got the feeling Jim wanted to leave. If anything I've always thought his biggest flaw of a character was how complacent he was. Eating the same Ham and Cheese sandwich. Not being that motivated to really do much work. I did like that the Office actually addressed the documentary crew this season, and it sounds like we will get to see the full story behind them.
Parks and Rec really is the best comedy on tv. Blows my mind it's not more watched, we may never see a comedic ensemble of that talent ever again on Network TV. They also have a great format of loose documentary where they can take many more liberties, where as the Office they had pretty strict rules as a show.
