We actually took the $200 winnings and purchased 5 $40 plays boxing various outcomes, I guess we will see this week.

Freaking bloodbath this morning. I did take Miami late, and middling the Falcons saved me from losing big, but I'm down 4 units already.

I find myself saying this about every team that screws me, but really san Diego? You can't beat the browns? I knew they sucked, but apparently i did not know To what extent the suckage had reached.

According to my sport select loss, the chargers are the worst team in the nfl until someone else screws me over next week

Careful. Lots of people (including myself) had the Bears smoking Carolina.

Looks like you had a better afternoon with the Giants and Broncos!

Lines I like so far this week are ARI +10, MIA -1, BAL -3.5, CAR +4, CHI -3.5, MIN +5, TB +1, NYG -3.5, DAL +5.

Already got down aon Tampa and Dallas. That Tampa line feels like stealing.

How can you still trust Dallas?

And there's already an ARI line? They still have to play tonight.

Yep, but those were my two locks. Knew I wasn't losing them. The one silver lining is I got good value on my lines and didn't end up paying juice on several of my losing bets, so my wins actually caused my net to only be -$22. If the Niners can cover tonight, this week will be a pretty minor bump.

I think I'm locked in on Dallas. They have talent to hang with any of the big boys, so they'll keep it close, but they can never finish the deal. I'll never take them as favourites.

I agree. What a good coach could do with that team is scary to think about.

The team is top 10 in D and top 10 in O, with those numbers they should be amongst the elite but time and time again the turnovers are just killing them ie. Felix Jones fumbling the football with the Cowboys marching again killing a drive that would have put them in the lead.

I had the panthers to cover all the way. Steve smith is a cover 2 killer and the panthers always give the bears Fits. But yeah that game was all sorts of ugly and if the division wasnt so close you would almost hope they would have lost so they wouldn't have horn away with such a bad effort

Not necessarily a sports gambling question, but as a relatively new fan of the NFL, I wanted to see if I made an astute bet. I bet a friend a 40 of scotch that the Patriots would finish the season with a better record than the Eagles (he gets the tie), and an additional 40 of gin that the Broncos would finish with a better record than the Eagles (I get the tie).

Right now it's looking good for me, but any thoughts on the balance of the season?

I see the Eagles at 7-9.
They'll win 1 of 2 against Dallas, 1 of 2 against Washington and beat Carolina and Cincinnati at home.

They'll lose to the Saints, Cowboys, Redskins, Bucs and Giants

The stupid thing is, they should beat all of those teams.

I knew I should have laid down a crazy sum on San Fran tonight instead of a measly single unit. The Bears not being able to win by 3 points killed my 5 game teaser.

I'm on tilt now. I'll keep betting huge sums on a single game to cover my losses until I finally get back to even. Right now I'm thinking Houston to cover against the Bills. I'd bet against the Chiefs...but San Diego to win by 10....tough to jump on that one.

Odd week for me. I thought I was set to lose huge after Thursday night and Sunday morning, but then I swept the Sunday afternoon, evening, and Monday night games. Ended up only down $13 (basically 1 UNIT). Ended +1 UNIT (thanks to a 3-team teaser earlier in the month for October.
