Giants deserved to win. Great regular season, incredibly well put together team through the draft. Tigers were the 12th best team in MLB record wise, a ton of holes in that team, defense, bench, rotation and hitting lefties. But great effort in the playoffs

Only 5 months until pitchers and catchers report... sigh. It's going to be a long winter of watching... nothing.

Congrats to the Giants. As much as baseball is a series of one on one battles, the Giants do capture the team essence of the game. Somewhat comical to think that Barry Zito, one of the more disastrous free agent signings, ends up turning the LCS in his teams favor by winning game 5, than sets the tone for the WS by beating Verlander. He never earned his contract, but at least he gave the Giants something at the end.

Turns out the best post waiver deadline move was getting Marco Scutaro.

I am happy for Barry Zito. Left off the roster in 2010 and comes back in 2012 to win a couple of huge games and get a ring the right way.

Amazing, I love this team. And that was a really good baseball game, great one to end the season with.

Scutaro was beyond huge. SF Giants can be really good for a really long time, team is so young. Won't lose many players they need I don't think and can add through free agency. brandon Belt only going to get better as well.

Absolutely no one saw Romo throwing a cut fastball there, that was a brilliant call. Pretty much all he throws to RH's are sliders, so Cabrera was looking for that only. With that in mind he probably thought that pitch would be two feet outside, then it cuts back. Not much he could do.

Oh, to be in San Fran for Halloween.

S.F. expecting Giant crowd for parade
http://www.sfgate.com/giants/article...de-3991563.php

The last time the Giants were baseball's champions, in 2010, more than 1 million people flooded downtown for the 1 1/2-mile parade of players and celebrities up Market Street to City Hall. Authorities expect about the same number this time.
