man Bob Stoops has lost his big game swagger. I give it up to ND but our QB and WR's looked out of sync all night. I have personally never been a fan of Landry Jones so I will be glad when this season is over. I wish he would have left after last season.

Kansas St and Oregon are both pretty terrifying as a Tide fan. Either one of them could really put an end to the SEC NC streak. However, Kansas State's two big wins are a little suspect now and Oregon seems to be intent on destroying everyone since the BCS polls came out.

Bama still has a scary game next week when Les Miles gets his third year in a row with an extra week of prep for the Tide. This time in Death Valley.

As a team whose games I'd never actually watched, the Gators scared me until today. Offensively they're just kind of meh. It's tough to know who's coming out of the SEC east as Georgia's and Florida's schedule's are both kind of weak down the stretch except that Florida has FSU and Georgia really has nothing.

The problem with both teams OU has lost to is the mobile QB. It's a hard thing to do to cover WR's , Pressure the QB, and then contain one than can run. It doesnt matter how fast your defense is. If your QB can run and pass your defense is going to be suspect to giving up yardage and big scores. Is there a QB in the SEC that does both of these well that Alabama has to face / or has faced?

The way to beat Alabama imo is a decent run game combined with a legit deep/passing threat. Their Secondary is their weakness I feel. Also, the ability to stop the run, because even though AJ McCarron is getting a lot of love right now (even got brought into the Heisman discussion today, which I think is ridiculous) he's not at that level imo.

Yeah I said the QB has to be able to run and pass well... Sorry Denard can run his passing leads a lot to be desired.

Well, unfortunately Bama hasn't created an RG3 to beat.

or that.

There's really no QB like that out there. The closest was Geno Smith, and we all know now how that's gone.

Have you seen KSU's QB . The dude is pretty damn good. The ND QB didnt have to make very many "big" plays but any redshirt freshman who can go into Norman and play mistake free football is pretty damn impressive.

After yesterday, I'm worried about the Ducks' chances of finishing top 2, even if they go undefeated. Oregon State and USC both losing has removed the Ducks' opportunity to beat two top-10 teams in the final weeks of the season. True, both those teams were beat by teams that the Ducks have already destroyed, so they'll get a bit of a trickle-down effect in the computers, but at this point it will probably come down to how the computers process the various strengths of schedules.

It'll be fascinating if, at the end of the season, all of Alabama, Kansas State, Oregon, and Notre Dame are undefeated. Really, it would be an absolutely perfect scenario for playoffs... can't they please introduce it this year?!

I'm just looking at Sagarin's rankings... Last week, Oklahoma was at 8 in his rankings. They lose soundly to ND, and somehow move up to 5th in his rankings, passing Oregon and Alabama.

As long as Oregon keeps winning and does so convincingly they'll be going to Miami come January. They're on a different level right now winning by an average of 34 points (this would probably be a lot more if their starters actually played in the 2nd half of football games).

I don't know about that. K State is #2 by a pretty hefty margin.

Oregon isn't getting the love in the computers right? They're ranked #2 in all the human polls but not in the BCS.

crazy to think that all three (bama, Oregon, KSU) could lose this week too.

Yeah this is the week I've been waiting for all year. I'm still really annoyed by the extra week LSU got again. You'd really think some would notice that and correct it. I'll either be happy by 9pm Saturday or really grumpy.
