He said he would change his name if Chuck scored 12 in a season. He said he'd leave if Chuck ever scored a hat trick. He did both in the same game. So Bertuzzied left and had has name changed all at once.

I seem to remember him saying that he would never enter a game thread for the rest of the year as opposed to the rest of the season, and so he stayed out of the gamethreads til the end of the year and then Jan. got back in them. Unless he made another comment about leaving for good that I am unaware of, which is possible, i think that's why he still posts in the gamethreads. It was a technicality that got him back into the threads... I could be wrong about that, but that's how I remember it.

I thought the game thread thing was between him and Shawnski but when shawnski bet him on it Mainflame refused so I'm not so sure there even was a bet no?

No, the bet was that the Flames would fall out of playoff position within a week or some other crap... I called him on it with a sizeable bet as it was virtually impossible. The odds were about as good as me getting laid by Angelina Jolie, Brittany Spears and Madonna at the same time.....
Mainflame had said that he would not post in "the" game thread, if the Flames came back in a game (if memory serves). Technically, "the" game thread was the one being posted in for that night... although he stayed away for a while... unfortunately for us all... he came back...
Kinda like herpes, tax collectors, and the mafia.
