Article on the possible Team Canada invitee list for the World Juniors. A couple flames prospects mentioned in Brossoit and Jankowski.

Quote:
"I think it’s up to him at this point, I think he knows where he stands in the whole mix of things because he and Ron [Tugnutt] have talked quite a bit in the last couple of weeks," Prendergast expalined, "He’s got to be playing well in order to be in the mix, his reputation isn’t going to carry him anymore so he’s got to go and prove to us that he deserves to be one of the three goalies going forward."

Quote:
"Two summers ago we had [Dillon] Simpson (EDM) from North Dakota at camp, we’ll go have another look at him this year. We have another kid, Matthew Peca (TBY), playing at Quinnipiac University. [Mark] Jankowski (CGY) was a first round pick of Calgary and playing at Providence, another big kid and probably on our “B” list but we’ll see where we stand coming into December. Depending on where we are with our player situation in December if the NHL does get back to work, obviously we’ll lose a lot of players on our roster right now."

Looks like Jankowski is on the radar which is nice to see. He is still a longshot, but it sure would be nice to see him invited to the tryout camp in December.

It's nice to see Jankowski in the discussion. I don't think he makes the team but I figured he wouldn't even be in talks for this years team. Making the jump directly to College and looking comfortable there is obviously turning some heads.

Gaudreau's twitter taught me a few things I wasn't expecting.

A) He plays as the Vancouver Canucks when playing NHL 12 online.
B) He hangs out with Patrick Kane.

I don't like knowing either of these things.

Its probably to torment his Bean Town based opponents when he wins. Patrick is no doubt in it for the frat parties...

Brett Kulak scored a powerplay goal in a 3-2 loss against Brandon yesterday. Kulak now has 6 points (3+3) in 11 games for Vancouver.

Kane is a ###### but he has thrived in the show as a very undersized player. He's probably got all types of knowledge and tips that he can pass along to Gaudreau. It's not ideal but it's not necessarily all bad.

Ryan Culkin had an assist and was -2 in a 8-2 loss yesterday. Patrick Sieloff was scoreless and -1 in a 5-2 loss.

Patrick Sieloff has a goal for Windsor - the Spitfires are currently leading 4-2 midway through the second period against Guelph.

Ryan Culkin has an assist so far as the Remparts lead 6-0 vs Shawinigan after two periods.

Why isn't Windsor's score sheet showing Sieloff's goal?

I think it was taken away from him and given to Ebert instead ...

BTW - Culkin's teammate Adam Erne, who turns 18 in March, has 4 goals today, now 23 points in 14 games ... I think it's safe to consider him mid-first round talent at this point.

No ... the 4-2 goal, which was first shown to be Sieloff's goal on the OHL website, is now given to Ebert. Windsor is leading 5-3 after two periods, Sieloff is a +1 but has no point as of now.

Providence defeated Maine 3-2 tonight. No points for Janko, but another win for Gillies.

Janko had a shot at the empty net with 1:00 left, but hit the post.
