I believe that is the gist of this thread.

"Big Burly Man"... if you saw me, I'm quite confident that characterization would be at the very bottom of the list. Thank you, though.
My advice to the OP was to weasel a way into a chicks pants and keep her around over the duration she tries to figure him out. You want to kill your chances of getting laid? Drool all over a chick you barely know and tell her the same thing every horny young boy tells her. Even if you genuinely mean all the nice things you say to a girl, at a 'meet up', she's likely heard it a thousand times before (especially if she's attractive).
She went after him... the ball is in his court. Perhaps she saw him as a Boss... but if he gets all excited and puts her on a pedestal, 9 times out of 10, she'll be turned off.
Once a relationship with some history behind it has been established... THEN you can put her on a pedestal if you feel compelled to do so.
ABOVE ALL... I figured starting my post off with Cream Pies and Tossed Salads would be a good indicator of my sarcasm, but I guess it went over everyone's heads.
If you're a romantic guy... good for you. If it works for you and the type of women you're attracted to, great.
My wife married me for who I am. Not who I pretended to be. My personality, relationship values and habits have been consistent since the first time I took her out.
I'm a challenge for her, sure. It keeps things exciting.
Since we met, I have made some choices that have turned both of our futures around, secured our financial strength, moved us across the country, improved our lifestyle and, after all the dust settled, she was presented with the opportunity to obtain her dream job.
Before she met me, she lived at home with her parents, hated her job, of which she felt trapped in, and had nothing to look forward to.
5 years later... she loves getting up to go to work every day and, for both of us, we can't even keep track of the things we have to look forward to every week.
I can get away without the pansies and poems.
Oh and nice pic of a nasty hosebag, UndercoverBrother. The kitchen is mine... I cook for her, every single day. It's ready and waiting for her when she gets home from work, since I am home much earlier everyday. Again, I can get away without the pansies and poems.
Let me fix your ####ed up imaginations.

Let's see what kind of prize your charm has awarded you.
Bash me all you want... just don't make assumptions about my wife. If you want to do that, please set up a CP meeting and I'll gladly show up. No that's not a threat, I just think making assumptions about the wives, girlfriends, children and family members of others is cowardly and if you're going to do it, at least do it without hiding behind a keyboard.
Sorry for a having my tongue-in-cheek post get this out of hand... just leave the direct remarks about what you think you know about my wife, out of it. Please and thank you.

Glad we have someone to fill Flip's shoes as the "I don't care, I'm laughing about it" poster who posts long, winded, very carefully thought out responses.
