Yah they emailed me back and told me that as well. Woo hoo! That about guarantees I'll be getting rid of my car.

Signed up using the Dinos code I got here, was DT and didn't feel like walking anymore, found a car and BOOM, was to my destination in 7 minutes. If I lived in the zone I'm sure I would use this all the time.

How big could the home area conceivably get. Would Market mall and Northland mall eventually get in the area?

If people use it with high enough frequency, there's no reason the whole city couldn't be part of the home area. A higher percentage of people using the service would be required to make it work in skyview ranch than Connaught, but that doesn't mean it's impossible, just that lower density makes it harder.

Of course, further suburbs are also more car dependent, so car2go might have higher utility.

About 30 minutes. 15 if you're driving from Cochrane.

Tuscany to Rome is just over 3 hours, then it depends what the layover is in any number of airports (Frankfurt, Heathrow, Dulles, etc.).

Just tried out my membership yesterday and it was simple as pie. I'll be using this in the future that's for sure - sure beats buying another car.

Is there anyway to get the car to tell you what your rental cost when you finish with it?

Did everyone pay the $35 registration fee or is there a promo code somewhere for that?

The registration fee was waived when you used the original code. I haven't paid a cent for car2go yet.

There were no less than 3 Car2go's parked illegally on 6th Ave SW during the afternoon commute. Seems like people still don't understand the rules and are likely getting dinged with some scary towing bills.

I signed up with the original code a few weeks ago, and I just saw the $35 on my credit card bill. The website doesn't tell you the code is expired. Not super impressed about that, but, oh well I guess.

pylon - right on the registration form it says:

Note: please be advised that expired promotions will not be honored, and that if an Expired Promotional code is used, you will be subject to the current registration fee. Please contact our team at +1.855.454.1002 if you have any questions to whether a promotional code is valid or not.
