That was in a plea bargain. She must of chose rather to plead not guilty which would suggest to the court a lack of remorse.
The Prosecutor also said more stuff came out because they had a trial and if he had known those things he would have asked for more time in the plea deal.

What's ridiculous is physically abusing a 2 year old to the point that they have bleeding in their brain and then gluing their hands to the wall.

A 23 year old would be a good organ donor candidate, assuming she's not diseased to the hilt.
Reading through this thread though, its curious to see the double-standard that applies when a female commits such an offence versus a male. Usually the second post would be some kind of prison rape comment / wish.

The prosecutor asked for 45 years at sentencing, not in a plea bargain.

This is one of those times where I wish judges had the power to sentence someone to 99 years and a taste of your own medicine.

As bad as this crime was, it's not covered under Texas' death penalty statute.

You're right better to let this be handled in the prison where she can be killed in a much more painful and slow manner. Although not sure womens prisons are quite as bad for this as mens, if not hopefully the guards can take care of her.
State executions are much too humane for this piece of trash.
