Weisbrod
-pleased with effort, tried to raise talent level of team
-sample size too small, but Sven is clearly an elite talent
-lockout hasn't changed much for Weisbrod. Will still be scouting a lot.
-Olsen is a guy he's known for a long time. Knee injury scared off NHL teams. Loves his brain. He's earned his spot on heat. Clearly michigan tech's best player. Felt if he could be in A pro environment he could succeed.
- feels really good about team. Helps that there are vets who know system. have confidence in ward, feels they have given him better raw materials
- upcoming draft may be the best in 20 years

The patience of Kolanos on his goal... my god.
No shortage on potential headlines for this game haha.
And how about Brodie and his three points? He almost looks like an NHLer or something.

This is total dominance by the Heat. I am so glad to watch a good hockey team at a professional level. The kids are really meshing together well!

Breen looks very impressive (and scary) when you see him live. He's HUGE.

Huh, Scott Ford is from Fort St. John. I almost feel bad about Breen smashing him

Through 2 games, the leading scorers for forwards and defencemen are members of the Heat. Big sample size, I know.

Heaps of positives for the Heat. The play of Horak and Reinhart and then Sven-Walter-Sylvester line just to name a few.
Crowd looked pretty bad but. Anyone know what the attendance was?

2416 was the official attendance according to the game sheet. If they can play consistant high offence style hockey, the attendance should go up.

That was a great game. Too bad we have to wait until Friday (Oct 19th) for the next game

Doesn't appear to be the full highlights, was flying tonight and missed the game so I'm searching all over for them. But at least something:
