Well that's gonna finally do it. Strange 2nd half but a win is a win.

Name me one other back up QB, in any league, that has come in early in a season and been able to lead his team to 9 wins and counting.
Matt Cassel.

And I am not sure that Glenn deserves a ton of credit for handing off to Corninsh and watching him win games.

Any time we have relied on Glenn (and a few times we didn't need to rely on him but it took it on himself to screw up) we have lost the game.

I guess he gets something for taking the snaps and letting other guys win the game for him but he certainly doesn't get much credit for the team getting a win despite of having Glenn and his awful passes as a QB.

I usually like Dunnigan but his over the top cheerleading trying to make this into a better game that it was was a little over the top today.

You would have thought it was Montana with Rice getting the ball on the opponents 20 with the way he was talking about Winnipeg getting the ball back. I think he forgot the Bombers scored a total of 7 points without help from the officials that game and that Alex Brink had to go 70+ yards in a minute to have a chance.

Ugly football. But they got the win and that is exactly what they needed.

36000 yards, .500 record and 0 Grey Cups.

Also not sure what his career stats have to do with what he is doing this season.

Glenn has just been average this year, no doubt. Probably the story of his career. But he's done enough to help the team win or be close in most games. Considering he was the backup at the start of the year, I can't really blame him. He's done what was expected of him.

Several CFL teams don't even have a starter who would have done as well.

Thats my point....yet we have this ludicrous claim that the guy is in the bottom echelon of back ups.

Laughable.

I hate Glenn as much as the next guy but a bottom of the league of back up quarterback? So you would take Steven Jyles ? Kerry Joseph ? Joey Elliot ? Common now.

Throw them all in a group with Kevin Glenn and it doesn't matter which one of these crappy QB's you have. They are all on par with Glenn in that they all suck.

I agree he has done what was expected of him but that is because I expected nothing of him.

Outside of maybe Edmonton and Saskatchewan whose starters are equally as bad every team would easily have starters that would have done better and every team has a guy that can throw game losing INT's and hope that Cornish can win the game.

I don't know what people expect out of their backup QB? Glenn has the 2nd highest completion% in the league, is 4th in yards, led the team to 9 wins, likely a home playoff game but yet he gets crapped on? I don't get it. I'm not sure there is another team in the league who has a backup that can do what Glenn has done.

Glenn is what he is, a very capable backup QB who has some very good moments but some very bad moments. Those moments can be from game to game or within each individual game. For the most part, he manages a game well and that is how the Stamps play offense, they are all about ball control.

Any team in the league has a guy that can lose games and rely on others to win the game for the team.

If he had these very good moments perhaps it would be easier to take the awful play he has but at best he has not terrible moments in between his 2 yard outs and 5 yard dump offs on 2nd and long.

If the receiver isn't able to make a lot of YAC Glenn is screwed most of the time because of his inability to make anything other than the most basic of throws.

Not huge deal as the team isn't much better off with Tate anyways but this 'lead his team' to 9 wins and a home play-off game when he has done nothing to help the team win and been directly responsible for at least 2 losses gets tiresome.

I haven't seen any of the games this weekend as I've been working so I have no real opinion on the games themselves.

Glenn is proving to be more than adequate. I still maintain he is the Stamps best chance to win THIS year. Next year turn it over to BLM (except they'll give it to Tate).

Hughes is the Stamps MOP.

Stamps hold more than any team in the league on runs (this is for moon and his post in the other thread).

Again, haven't seen any games and probably won't from this weekend. This is my observations from the rest of the season.

I hate to say I agree with you but it's true. Glenn is inconsistent but when he is ON, he can win the game. Tate been out for a long time and yes he is the starter but he hasn't been practicing and playing for a long time. I like BLM but he is still a rookie and still need to learn a lot. I was hoping they will give him some playing time whenever the Stamps are ahead. They did let him play but he mostly handed the ball to the RB instead of throwing the ball.

Who else is an upper echelon in QB in the league right now?

I would say Lulay, Burris and AC are upper echelon maybe Ray but I haven't been impressed with him this year.

I don't think Ray has ever been an upper echelon QB.
