Why are there so many homeless at Crack Mac's? Is there a shelter nearby?

Anyone got a plumber they'd recommend? The plumbing/taps to our washing machine is nothing short of shoddy, I'm probably lucky it's a small leak, I imagine it needs to be redone.
Is this one of those "Call the big guys(Pete the Plumber) and pay to have it done right" things? No, I'm not very handy. It's one of my crosses to bare.

It's on the direct route from downtown to the bottle depot on 10th street. To get there walking you use the 8th street underpass to cross the CPR tracks.

What's up with the Red Lobster on 16th Ave NW? At first I thought it was closed for renovations, but now it seems to be permanently closed. It was always lined-up and busy, so I assume it was profitable.

"Cheapest" I'm not sure, but I've been really happy with Park2Go the last few times I've used them. For less than the price of a cab (at least to my place) they shuttle you to/from the airport and make a point of not eating up any of your time. The shuttles leave their lot every 5 minutes regardless of if their full, and when you return you text them your confirmation code so your car is waiting when you get back to the lot.

They usually have coupons if you go to their website, too.
You can probably expect a door ding or 6 though. They pack them in like sardines and generally aren't too careful getting in or out in my experience.

I want to buy something from Ebay. Questo qui
The shipping charge inside the US is $35. Shipping to Calgary is $158!! Is this for real? Yes, this is the first thing I've purchased from Ebay. Suggestions? I know a couple of people in the States. Is it worth it to get it shipped to someone and then have that person send it to me? Assuming that I'd want to buy that person a case of beer, and I'd have to pay a second shipping fee.

You could try something like this place: http://www.montanashipping.com/
I've never used them, but I know people who did. You can also contact the seller to see if other shipping options are available. Some sellers do that unaware of what the shipping calculator brings up. They could also be giving you UPS air instead of ground.
Also don't forget about UPS brokerage fees.
