Anyone going to the Edmonton one Oct.20-21, I guess it's run by the same guys that do Calgary's. I missed Calgary's so I think I'm going to go to this one.
I'm probably most looking forward to the Bioware stuff, sounds like they might give some kind of annoucements on Dragonage 3 , there since it's an Edmonton based company.

I'll be there. It's going to be quite a bit smaller though. they are only using Hall E of the Northlands convention centre. But still not bad for their first major show.
Come visit my booth. I'm DARK PHOENIX!

That Mass Effect panel makes it very appealing...but that would require me to go to Edmonton.

Agreed. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a good Calgary guest & event list. It'll be hard to top this years Expo though.
I heard a rumor at one point that they were trying to get the principle cast of the original Star Wars, but I don't know if that had any truth behind it.

I was thinking about it, living here and all. But the Calgary one is so much better.

If you can afford it, the one in San Diego is lightyears better - I have a hard time even bothering for the one in Calgary anymore.
Obviously not viable for everybody though.

I would like to go to that just to hear somebody ask if the original (non-extended) ME3 ending had universal acceptance amongst the writing staff at BioWare and if they genuinely believed that was the best possible way to end the trilogy. To be a fly on the wall when that decision was made...

Yeah the Star Trek Next Gen reunion at San Diego was amazing! oh wait....
The Calgary Expo has been around for 6 years and got 60,000 people last year. It is prob the fastest growing convention ever.
San Diego has been around for 42 years.
but yeah don't bother next year....

Heh, don't get me wrong the Next Gen reunion was great last year. If they get the "rumored" Star Wars event that'll be great for this upcoming year.
But I found the rest of the expo pretty meh, this year and in past years. A lot of the floor was just local or not so local stores looking to extra stock. That being said, with the smaller venue it is certainly easier to grab autographs here.
But here is to hoping the event is a lot better organized this year in Calgary.

Ya I didn't think it was going to be all that big, but that may make it a good one to hit up as a convention virgin like myself.
Right on I'll make a point to stop by.

I think the past part of the show floor was Garrett Wang randomly signed autographs at this table, with a ghetto sign and all.

Not only is he out, he has a severe back injury. I guess Bane is just that ruthless.
