The roster squad was announced last week. My anxiety builds. I really wish by some miracle we could pummel Cuba and have things start to line up for just having to keep it close in San Pedro Sula to go through:

CANADA
1- GK- Lars Hirschfeld | NOR / Vålerenga Fotball
2- M- Nik Ledgerwood | SWE / Hammarby Fotboll
3- FB- Mike Klukowski | CYP / APOEL
4- CB- Kevin McKenna | GER / FC Köln
5- CB- André Hainault | USA / Houston Dynamo
6- M - Julian de Guzman | USA / FC Dallas
7- F- Iain Hume | ENG / Doncaster Rovers
8- M- Will Johnson | USA / Real Salt Lake
9- F- Tosaint Ricketts | NOR / Vålerenga Fotball
10- F- Simeon Jackson | ENG / Norwich City FC
11- FB- Marcel de Jong | GER / FC Augsburg
12- CB- Dejan Jaković | USA / D.C. United
13- M- Atiba Hutchinson | NED / PSV Eindhoven
14- M - Terry Dunfield | CAN / Toronto FC
15- CB- David Edgar | ENG / Burnley FC
16- M- Pedro Pacheco | POR / CD Santa Clara
17- F- Olivier Occean | GER / Eintracht Frankfurt
18- GK- Milan Borjan | TUR / Sivasspor
19- FB- Ante Jazić | USA / Chivas USA
20- M - Patrice Bernier | CAN / Impact Montréal
22- GK- Kenny Stamatopoulos | SWE / AIK Fotbol

We have no strikers... can't we try Sinclair against Cuba?

Here's hoping for a bloodbath and lots of cards in the other match tomorrow, softening up Panama a bit for us, and even Honduras for Cuba on Tuesday.

Again, Panama is not the same class as a team like Mexico, so no matter the result tomorrow in either game (even if Canada chokes it away and loses), there is very little reason why Canada can't take 3 points there Tuesday and advance (only way they can't advance with a win Tuesday is if they lose tomorrow, and Honduras and Panama tie tomorrow, and Honduras wins Tuesday).

While they may not be favourites Tuesday, it also won't be anywhere near a monumental upset, that's for sure.

We play Honduras Tuesday, not Panama, but yeah, everything you said still stands with regards to us being able to beat them. Time for the boys to step up and get the job done. I'm very excited already.

El Salvador ref tomorrow for the Panama-Honduras match which could be wild.

The conspiracy theorist in me says that El Salvador will could make the HEX if they win tomorrow, they don't want Honduras in the HEX so the ref could give Panama a hand

I'm nervous and excited at the same time about tonight's match. It will be interesting to see how the team adapts without De Rosario in lineup.

Russia up already! scored in the 4th minute.

This is good because it now brings Portugal out of their defensive shell. Should be more goals and a good game!

I'd have thought Portugal would have taken this one.

They were by far the better team but again, can't finish.

They rely on Ronaldo far too much.

Maybe..

Nani is wasted, he's on the wing but there's no one to cross the ball too.
Portugal need a #9. The fact that Postiga still gets picked for the startnig XI is ridiculous.

Sweden tied it up.. boooooooooooooooo

They should just play like Spain. No #9 required.

That was an absolutely sublime goal by Germany.

Why risk it against a team like San Marino when they have a much more difficult opponent in a few days?

I think she was insinuating that hes been invisible? I'm not watching England, they should walk through San Marino without breaking a sweat.

Jonjo Shelvey made England's bench. Hopefully he stays on his feet......
