What sort of world leader would you be?

The world is run by many different individuals. Some benign, some hostile. Some smart, some not so. But what if you were a world leader? What form of government would you be holding the reins of?http://www.youthink.com/quiz.cfm?obj_id=1432

You would make a great PRESIDENT.
You like the idea of having the population controlling its government. You feel you are here to serve the people and have their best interests and the country`s at heart. However, corruption is rife - and so is discontent. You are getting sick and fed up of protesters rallying around you - pelting you with eggs. You have become the butt of jokes on national TV and those grey hairs are starting to show. Perhaps you should rule a little more firmly?

I think its a little soft...
You would make a great DICTATOR.
You would rule with an iron fist. You would govern outside the normal constitutional rule of law, and make your own laws up as you go along. You have the interest of your country at heart, but will stop at nothing to achieve your somewhat deluded and megalomaniacal goals. Even if it means eradicating all who oppose you.

Of course I would have to travel around in a bullet proof car like the Pope!

Keep in mind, the reason churches currently aren't taxed is to keep state and church separate. If you start taxing churches, they get a say in how you run the country.

Businesses have to pay property taxes and do not get to vote in municipal elections. They also pay corporate income taxes and yet do not vote. They can spend money on advertising but religious organizations do that as well.

			Apparently I'm a Commie:
You would make a great COMMUNIST.
You like the idea of people being equal. An abolishment of race and class. If this also means the end of personal liberties and freedom, so be it. You care little for the people anyway. They don`t need their own thoughts getting in the way of your ideas. But whilst your people are out working the fields and the mines - you choose to sit back in the winter palace with a glass of vodka. For shame.

But when that business does well, the government benefits by receiving more taxes. So the government enacts laws to help businesses do well, such as lowering corporate tax to entice American companies to open up their headquarters up here. But if churches become a revenue source, then it would be in the best interest of the government to advocate increased church/other religious entity attendance. Hypothetically, they might do something like give tax cuts to regular church goers to help increase attendance and gain back the revenue through taxing the church. But that is completely hypothetical, of course.

That's just wrong. The biggest reason churches aren't taxed is political, no politician worth a dollar would have the balls to try and tax the church as they are major power players in politics, State and Religion are supposed to be seperate but politicans are so far up a churches arse they are one.
