No it doesn't actually. Millions of people will hear about a panorama option for the first time through this ad. The fact that they could have downloaded a third party app or bought an Android is irrelevant. Apple thought there was value in adding this feature, why wouldn't they advertise it?

Yeah, I'm having trouble seeing the problem with advertising a new feature even if you aren't the first to introduce it. Can they not advertise iCloud features because Dropbox already exists?

Well they can do whatever they want. Its just funny that they make a big deal out of it now, when Android has had it for a few years.

Just like Maps and turn by turn navigation.

We're sitting here in the tech talk forum - pretty sure the ad is not aimed at us. To my mother, wife, son, niece.... this is a cool new Apple feature, looks really easy, reminds them of holidays...... It's advertising folks.

I'm not saying that they shouldn't. They should, obviously Apple fans are excited to finally have this feature.

I just think it's hilarious that a two year old feature of a rival phone, is now being featured in their advertising.

I feel smug that a two year old feature of a rival phone, is now being featured in their advertising.

Having to advertise, and not just advertise but highlight as a key feature of a phone two years after the competition did so shows Apple's lack of innovation of late that this is what they have to highlight.

No question there aren't a lot of marquee features in iOS6 to feature.

Of course Android fans are going to be smug about it. We've had the feature for years, and Apple is now making a big deal out of it.

Geez.

These arguments would be way easier if Google screwed the pooch once in a while

But there is literally nothing to be smug about. iPhone users have been able to do panos as long as Android users have. They just had to download an app, big whoop.

But if you want to feel superior because of the phone you created purchased, feel free. But isn't that what people #### on iPhone fanboys for?

Google might not, but their hardware partners do way too often.

You're supposed to wait for his triple post before calling him on it. It's just a matter of time.

I have an upgrade right now, and went and looked at both the S3 and 5. I left unable to see a clear advantage from what my 4S does now. Ill wait for the next generation before I jump into this argument.

Right now it seems to just come down to preference, over a clear and distinct winner.

s4 should be out in Feb/Mar.

Ouch. Foxconn strikes! APPL down to $652 on Friday. I was betting on a supply problem and it seems to be coming true.

More like April-May.

Couple Nexus devices over the next couple months?
