Man, some of those are depressing. I can't imagine what it would feel like to know you're about to get killed by your government. It's downright barbaric.

I dunno, I read one where the guy is getting killed because he took a flashlight to an 11-month old and killed him. Sounded like he was the barbaric one.

Theres definitely a lot of faithful and religious people being put to death for some fairly heinous crimes.

I would guess that a lot of them found their faith in their cell.

So it turns out that everything is bigger in Texas. Including how ####ed up they are. The number of executions is mind boggling.

Theres bound to be a few innocent people on that list that were wrongly convicted.

Read their statements, they are the toughest ones to read.

Foster and Ward then moved the body of the victim to a ditch where it was discovered by workers who were laying pipe.
That's a pretty gruesome way to get cockblocked.

Jesus Jesus Jesus....I think Ill pass.
What a screwed up place heaven would be if there was such a thing.

Please forgive me. God has given me peace. I love each and every one of you. You have to forgive me for you to gain the kingdom of Heaven.
I do know how it feels to have lost loved ones. This was the only way God could save me;

so much LOSER in these statements.

Kill and rob people - accept Jesus - go to heaven
Be a good person, give to charity and live properly - atheist - burn in hell.

People believe this folks.

I'm guessing some of the people making statements are illiterate, so they make verbal statements that are written down.

Edit: Scratch that, they all look like verbal statements. It is Texas.

Nobody should have their life taken as punishment, no matter how heinous their crime.

It solves absolutely nothing, nothing at all. I hope one day the death penalty will be looked at as a mistake and it will be abolished.

I can't believe you fall for that crap, they don't execute you any more unless the evidence clearly shows you are the guilty party. Prison's are jam packed with "innocent" people and they will claim that right up to the day they die no matter how guilty they are. Probably many of them have been claiming it for so long they have themselves convinced they actually are innocent. I think if the DNA is there and the evidence is concrete then capital punishment is the way to go. None of this paying taxes out of our asses so we can house and feed some piece of crap like Michael Rafferty and give him a right to life. Screw him, he has forfeited his right to life imo.
