For what reason are we being subjected to this scantily clothed hippy?

Yes, you see I have this thing about leaving my conjugal experiences without any lasting scars or otherwise uncomfortable physical or mental reminders.

Different strokes for different folks.

Derrick Justin Frank = same guy.

They discussed at great length on their Facebook page... here is one quote.

Holy crap! Excuse me while I pick my mouth up off the floor. We have had kids around the camp..were the parents of the kids told about this? That is my main concern right now! When we were at one of the rallys one of the cops said something about Derrick Frank serving time for being a pediphile. Thank God he's been found out! Now I hear Patrick is as well? I'm shocked and I'm shocked that the subject has not been brought up at GA's....I'm shocked that this was kept a secret and only a few knew about it.I agree with XXXX that we need discussions about this but I don't think this is the thread to have brought it up on. Excuse me while I go vomit.
The Patrick being referenced is this one:

But if people ask why I worry about movements like "the secret" and also these new spiritualism&hippie movements its because it does things like this to you
If the dude has issues that worry you that's sad, but why are you expecting us to think of him in some way based on those pictures?

What I'm saying is someone turning to an alternative lifestyle doesn't necessarily indicate unhappiness or something being wrong. So if your friend has taken a turn for the worst, the pictures cannot illustrate that.

I know some people that dumpster dive and while it's nothing something I'd do, I wouldn't say there's something wrong with them. They have good points about all the food thrown out by restaurants that just goes to waste. I just don't think that means you should eat it once it's in the dumpster.

I think Thor means that he left a "socially normal" lifestyle for what he is now. Or at least that what it seems he was indicating by showing those pictures. I could be wrong.

Yeah and if that's it, I don't think it's right to say whether that was good for him or not. A lot of people feel confined by ordinary society and chose another path and I think that's cool. Even if they tend to be slightly anti-science and mystical in their thinking, which not all of them are.

I agree, I was just stating that that appears to be what Thor is implying. I personally hate the way our society is, where if you're not dressed a certain way and stick to a certain routine (decent job, wear a suit, have a family etc) you're seen as "weird" and "not normal".

Not that I persoanlly go out of my way to not fit in, but it still bugs me when people who go against the grain are seen as "sad" and "unfit" automatically.

Now don't get me wrong, there are a lot of people who have rejected the perceived notion of how you should fit into society, who are mentally unstable, or just not doing very well. But that is also true of "normal" people as well.

It's just easier for people to point and laugh at the guy with a long beard and goofy clothes, than it is to laugh at the family man, with a suit on, who has issues.

Our society's weird that way, where you can have any number of problems, be the weirdest mother****er on earth, and maybe even be a bit mentally unstable. But as long as you put on a suit and hold down a job, and have a wife and kids, society views you as a "normal" person, so long as your problems aren't seen in public.

But as soon as someone steps out into public in a way that goes against our views of "normal people" the whole world turns on that person instantly. "Ohh, look at the loser, look how he's dressed, what an unstable nutcase!!!!"

Ok but who goes from wearing nice clothes and hanging out with similar people, in furnished apartments, to wearing rainbow hats, Grizzly Adams beard, stop brushing the teeth, and making placards about eating out of the garbage?

That guy, I guess.
