Romo falls into the dreaded "Good enough to get you beat" category. He's definitely one of the 10-15 best QBs in the league, but he's not good enough to win you a Super Bowl or do much beyond make the playoffs and get you bounced right away. If he chooses to re-sign in Dalls though, that'll show me he doesn't care about winning, because they are going nowhere anytime soon. Dallas is a cancer of a franchise so long as Jerry lives and owns them. He's the reason they are a debacle, first and foremost.

The funny part is that while that may be true, he's also the reason that they're the most valuable franchise in the NFL.

i dont think he gets a lot of help either, how many times last year did Romo have to tell his recievers where to go while at the line of scrimmage. if you look at Eli for instance, his recievers tend to bail him out at times and avoid the brain cramps that the cowboy recievers get. i think Romo could be a winner in a winning organization like NE or Pittsburgh for example.

I agree with you. I've always thought Matt Scaub and Romo were pretty similar in terms of talent level, but Schaub has more talent and a much more organized team around him. I think Romo would succeed in a team like that.

I think the excuse that Romo doesn't have good enough weapons around him is laughable. Jason Witten was a great tight end for many years, Dez Bryant and T.O. are highly touted players he's played with, and Marion Barber/Felix Jones/Demarco Murray are all above average to very good running backs.
But look at guys like Victor Cruz, Jordy Nelson, Antonio Brown, Austin Collie or Lance Moore. Not touted at all, yet all were or are significant contributors to teams with QBs who helped elevate their play because thats what great QBs do, they make those around them better. Tony Romo, simply put, doesn't do that. He puts up really strong stats, but couldn't win you an important game ever. Basically he's a lot like Jeff George.

Did you see Dez Bryant? He was dropping balls that were hitting him in the hands and chest, at least when he ran the correct route.
Owens is a cancer to the team ethic.
Witten was/is really good but coming into the week he had the most drops in the league. Other than the season opener, the running backs have done nothing.
I am pretty happy seeing Dallas struggle, but I think the criticism of Romo is misplaced. Romo deserves some of the blame but there seem to be way too many other areas getting off easy.

Romo is getting the amount of blame that comes with being the quarterback for America's Team. Again, Jerry alone makes his job 50 times more difficult than it could be. When Garrett gets fired after the season, its not like they're actually going to be able to attract a quality coach. Who wants to just be Jerry's puppet? Seriously the Cowboys could have Tom Brady at QB and not win anything, because having an owner who also thinks he can be coach, GM, President or whatever else he wants rather than letting actual football people do these things is preventing them from doing anything except be profitable.
Robert Kraft, the Mara family, the Rooney family, all owners who just STFU and let the football people do their jobs. Jerry Jones and Dan Snyder, owners who meddle and try to run the organization themselves. Any wonder why the first groups has 7 Super Bowls since 2001 while the other group has less than 7 combined playoff appearances?

Romo reminds me a lot of Luongo. Top 1/3rd in the league at their positons, both have huge expectations they can't deliver and both have won nothing. I feel bad for Romo because of the position he is in but love watching the Cowboys suck, much like Vancouver.

Can we add Stephen Ross to that list, although in a different sense? Oh good, the Dolphins are now partially owned by a number of celebrities that annoy the crap out of me, thanks for that. Can you maybe instead focus on firing Ireland?

Impressive opening drive from the Rams at home. Looks like this could be one of Bradford's 'good' games in his wildly inconsistent start to the season.

You have to wonder how the browns rams and cardinals are on prime time tv. I'm a rams fan too.

7/21 141 yards and 2 touchdowns Bradford has put up some nasty numbers. This rams offense is a eye sore.

Well special teams and defence, can still do a lot for a team. Have to agree with Mayock...that ball needs to be thrown in the end zone.

Mayock can talk too much sometimes, but he's one of the if not the best commentators. He knows the game so well, and just breaks things down and makes it easy to understand.

I know Bradford doesn't have a lot of weapons and a so so offensive line, but I would rather have RG3 right now. Not liking Bradford's game at all right now.
