Ya he wasn't even noticeable
once Rooney came on it was as if the left side of the field became an option to attack in

Four minutes seemed fair to me. The goals and the substitutions were probably good for three minutes and the fourth one because Friedel took plenty of time for his goal kicks. Foy then added about 30 seconds for the substitutions at the end. Nothing wrong with that.

Chelsea preformed well enough with their first real PL test this season! Arsenal was in good form the last few weeks. Really looking forward to the games against City and United. By the end of October i'm hoping Oscar, Mata, and Hazard will play a little more together and build up a little chemistry. I think those three try to force it into Torres sometimes.

@SalmanRushdie OK, publishing a book and releasing a movie is all very well, but Tottenham beating Man. U. 3-2... priceless. #COYS

Yeah it's as if the refs were reading my post earlier in the week about Fergie Time.

Isn't he complaining that four minutes wasn't long enough? I didn't watch so I can't really comment.
Ferguson told BBC Sport: "There were six substitutions, the trainer came on, so that's four minutes right away and the goalkeeper must have wasted about two or three minutes and they took their time at every goal kick.

he is complaining, yes. But in my opinion, four minutes was alright. Fergie is exaggerating, as always ... "six substitutions" isn't correct because the Rooney-for-Giggs sub was done at half-time, so that won't influence the injury time. Hernandez and Dawson came on after 92 minutes, and Foy added 30 seconds for that. So basically, you have three substitutions that influence the injury time. 30 seconds per substitutions and 30 seconds per goal = 3 minutes. Plus an additional minute because of Friedel (Ferguson is right in that case, Friedel wasted a lot of time). You could argue about adding a fifth minute, but Foy's decision wasn't anywhere close to being an "insult" or a "disgrace". It's just Ferguson's usual move to deflect everyone's attention from the real issues: our problems in the back and the missing pace in midfield.

Gotcha.
Still can't believe that Spurs actually won at OT.

I take your point re. Nani not tracking back but whilst you could make an argument for sitting him based on the first half imo he had a very good second half. Involved in pretty much everything. That first goal imo is also a lot on Evans and Carrick. Ferdinand got dragged out following his man and Evans got caught in no mans land staring at an acre of space which by the time he decided to close down was too late. The other two were sorta a blessing in the level that Rio was exposed.
And agreed ....time to move Ferdinand on. Too slow in speed and reaction for that level. There's a lot of holes in United at the moment.
I thought Nani was a clear penalty but as Ferguson said maybe he made too big a meal of it. Oversold it.

I think Arseblog best summarized my feelings on yesterday's match:

[...]
Overall, not a good day but some perspective is needed. It was our first defeat of the season and one which you can see quite clearly that we could have avoided. Missing the chances was poor but at least we created them and, without the slapstick stuff at the back this is a game we should have at least taken one point from. As it is there’s plenty for both the manager, and Steve Bould, to work on this week.

No need to panic but some ironing out needs to be done on the training ground this week.

I can't even believe the big brass ones on Ferguson to complain about injury time when he has benefited from suspect amounts of injury time more than anyone I've ever seen and he got 4 minutes to boot. The criticism of injury time keeping is valid but coming from him of all people....
His career as a manager is legendary but his lack of accountability when he loses is shameful.

the goalies do that every game though and you still don't see more than 4 minutes unless there was an injury
I thought it was going to be 4 or 5
the subs have all ready been pointed out and I have always been told the 30 second thing as well
its never an exact science because you see 0-0 games get a minimum of 3 minutes all the time regardless, but him saying embarrassment makes it seem like it should have been almost double the time which it wasn't

Wow. QPR are awful. All those signings and this team is terrible.
Mark Hughes could be in trouble....

Ok here are the pictures I promised:
Amsterdam AreanA:
Upton Park (West Ham vs Fulham):
Outside Upton Park after the game:
Monday night football:
Another:
Good game tonight, Loftus Road is a cool stadium and had a good feel. The West Ham supporters (above me) were pretty much going nuts the whole game. I really like some of the West Ham players, Vaz Te, Noble, Jarvis, and Nolan stick out to me. Don't have much else to say as I have to work tomorrow and am going to a League One game so I need to get into work early so I can leave early.
More pics to come.

Why do they have to call the stadium the "City of Manchester Stadium" as opposed to the "Etihad?"
The announcer said that for the Champion's League they have to call the stadium that. Sponsorship thing?
