Default My co-worker is a thief!

My co-worker (35 year old female) disclosed to me this morning that she often takes advantage of the self-checkouts at Superstore. She tells me often when she shops for groceries at Superstore, she goes to the bulk foods section and fills up a big bag of candy M&M's and writes down the product code of a much cheaper item (popcorn) instead of actual product code of the M&M's. She says she goes through the self-checkout so the cashiers don't spot the switch around. She says she gets about $10 worth of bulk M&M's for about $2. And she's proud of it! I told her one of these days she is going to get busted and she will regret it. Bloody thief.

Oddly enough, I have a craving for peanut M&M's now.

Would you rather her rip off Superstore, or the Food Bank?

How is that in any way relevant?

You should tell her that she should stop - not because it is morally wrong, but rather that she needs to lose the weight.

I do this every so often, but with yogurt raisins.

I figured that if this thread was going to have any traction it needed more meat than an OP that seemed to randomly vent about someone stealing candy without actually having a take on anything. It's also a loaded question that implies he would have to justify stealing to begin with to measure the two crimes against each other, and in reaching a conclusion he would realize this wasn't really thread worthy.

Saving $8 and risking a criminal record is totally worth it!

Everyone knows that candy stolen is twice as sweet as candy earned.

If she is hot I would blackmail her to sleep with you or warn her you will report her to the authorities.

I would gladly pay an additional fee to use automated checkout if it meant these idiots (usually with $250 worth of groceries) that don't know what the hell they are doing would take off to the normal line and leave automated checkout for people with just a few items!!

Especially if it's taken from a baby.

I did that once. A $1.79 avacado became a $0.35 apple. I always get those mixed up.

Come on man she's stealing fricken' M&M's from the bulk isle, I'd hazard to guess that she's not exactly hot.

But surely that is not an absolute - pics in thread if I am incorrect.
