I've only had chicken and waffles once. It was at the BB King's restaurant in the Mirage in Las Vegas. It's a pretty awesome meal to have for breakfast. It even came with a cup of hot sauce and I ordered grape drink to complete the experience.
I just had a Southern Fried Chicken and Waffle with white gravy and maple syrup. $9. Pretty good quality. A bit too salty for me since I am on a low sodium diet. Chicken was a bit overcooked for my taste but I think most people would find the sodium and cooking good. Nice touch with the maple syrup. Just enough syrup. I would try it again. The waffle so good too since I do not like crispy. I did not tuck in until I walked five blocks back to my office.

Haha. Extra points for calling it grape drink lol.
The Libertine on 8th Ave has a chicken and waffle special every Wednesday for Lunch. $17 per head until it runs out. Pretty good and they'll usually throw in a bag of bacon/chocolate chip cookies for free at the end of the meal for a big table. http://www.thelibertine.ca/documents/Libertine_Food.pdf
Anyway, I would recommend staying away from the Chicken & Waffles food truck. Waffles-Chix was disgusting.
It's $9 for bland waffles, a burnt and mostly meatless chicken strip, topped with a boring and almost flavorless ejaculate they called maple white gravy sauce.
Chicken and Waffles sounds amazing. I really, really want to try it now.
Next time I find myself in charge of getting my own supper, I'm ordering KFC then making waffles. Is that acceptable or really lame in comparison to the real deal?
IMHO, I had Waffles & Chix last week and it was freakin' fantastic. The portion seemed a little small at first but it was a very light yet filling lunch. I quite enjoyed the white gravy & maple syrup.
The waffle was very moist and not dried out. It was quite tasty.

not grape soda?
I use to reach Archie comics all the time and totally wanted to know what a soda was. I was sooo disappointed it was just a regular pop. I thought it was like some crazy american float drink or something.

Had Chicken and Waffels twice when I was in Vegas two weeks ago. I recommend the ones I had at PBR Rockbar. a little hot sauce with the syrup and it was fantastic.
