Has anyone heard anything about Stevie Baggs. He is ever going to get in the lineup?
I thought they would get him in as soon as his injury was resolved as it would improve our pass rush game.
Something I'm missing? Is he only an injury replacement?
Also is Demetrice Morley done for the year. Never heard anything about him at all, just that hes been on the 9 game injured list.
He would be an improvement at LB.

Baggs practiced yesterday but left early:
Al Cameron @AllenCameronCH
Stevie Baggs update: took reps at beginning of practice, then went to locker room for more physio. #Calstampeders #cfl
And Morley had shoulder surgery on the 23rd according to his Twitter:

Sixth Canadian Player of the Week this season for John Cornish:
http://www.cfl.ca/article/burris-big...rs-of-the-week
Quote:
Finally, the Canadian Player of the Week is Stampeders running back Jon Cornish. The New Westminster, BC native ran for 180 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries, leading the Stamps to a 39-15 win over the Eskimos. In the second quarter, Cornish took a direct snap 73 yards to the endzone, surpassing the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the first time in his career.
He also became just the eighth Canadian to achieve the said feat.

Is there a rule where if you win Cdn player of the week, you can't win Offensive player of the week?

I'm going to assume you meant to say that you believe there isn't any such rule.

Pretty ridiculous he didn't win it once for his +150 yard games.

Tate is still a while away from playing but he should be the #1 quarterback if he's healthy. Do you see Glenn lifting the Grey Cup as the starting quarterback? I guess anything is possible, Marcus Crandell did it, but I can't see Glenn doing it.

I'll take Kevin Glenn over Marcus Crandell every time. And yes, I do see him winning it all. Once the Tate getting healthy hit the airwaves he responded by playing like a man possessed.

No, I meant to say "I believe there is such a rule preventing a player from winning multiple awards in a week, but even if there wasn't there is no way Cornish was beating Burris' 5 TD performance for OPW".
English, such a pain.
This is just my understanding, I tried doing a quick search and couldn't find anything to back it up

Cornish was Canadian Player of the Month for September as well. I'm guessing it's safe to say he's the favorite to win the Canadian Player of the Year award.
http://www.stampeders.com/article/co...r-of-the-month
And:
Ian Busby @SUNIanBusby
Cornish named Can player of month. Good choice. JC Sherritt is defender of Sept. His Esks allowed 365 rushing YDs to Cornish in 2 games. Hmm

That's like Bighill winning DPOW with the Riders rushing for 100+ on the Lions. It's all about individual stats.
Cornish and Harris are the only two in the running for Canadian Player of the Year. Whoever gets the higher yards from scrimmage should take it

I don't think so. It's just that Hank had an awesome game last week.

Baggs still having problem with his injury from the NFL pre-season. I heard he will try practicing again this week. Anwar Stewart can still help the Stamps. If he can still play the way he used to, that would be a huge help on Hughes and the rest of the DLine.

Keon Raymond was named Defensive Player of the Week and Cornish was named Canadian Player of the Week. That's Cornish's 7th Canadian Player of the Week award this season:

Now that we are locked in for 2nd in the West, any chance that Tate might get a start in one of the last two games? Glenn has played better than expectations this year, but I still think Tate could be more valuable going in to the playoffs.
