oh and if you find a slag elemental weapon, keep it, even if the stats aren't good. it makes such a huge difference when fighting the tougher enemies if you slag em first then switch to a regular weapon. my Siren has an SMG damage class mod with a purple fire SMG and now a decent green slag SMG. that combo destroys pretty much anything now

Any recommendations on when to open the chest? I've been hanging on to the 1 key i had since the beginning and I'm now level 28.

I'd wait until you get to level 50 if you plan on playing through again.

Oh man I only had PhysX turned on low, cranked it up to high and boy does that look different!

I'm not sure how powerful your computer is, but with PhysX on high I would get some really choppy frame rate during large-scale fights.

I just finished the first playthrough with my siren.
I don't want to ruin anything for anyone, but I'd highly recommending tipping Moxie with some of your extra cash (once you have $30-50k saved up). It will likely be worth your time.

Not super powerful (i7-2600k, 570GTX, 1920x1200) but yeah I am noticing some choppiness on big fights too. Don't want to turn it down to medium tho, looks too nice!

I think so.
I was just going to tip 10k as soon as I got it. It's not like my money is going anywhere really.
(On a side note, Siren is an absolute beast of a support in multiplayer. So much healing potential).

It wasn't exactly 10k for me. Around 18k the first time and 13k the second.

You get an achievement for tipping 10K. To get the goods, it seems to be a random amount.
Also, I've read that you can get the gun(s) by tipping $100s. That can save you lots of money for the slots!

Badass Buzzards are the worst. I had a couple of those hovering over me last night. Not fun.

Do you have an nVidia card or an AMD card? PhysX runs like absolute #### on AMD cards since it's meant for nVidia ones. Games are basically unplayable for me when I enable that.

Yes, using a Radeon 6950. That must be the reason it isn't working very well.

Ya, PhysX does not like AMD cards. I know the official forums are flooded with people complaining about that.
