I'm not so sure about that, from the games I have watched the replacement refs put their mark on every single game. It may have not come down to the final play deciding the winner or loser but there were some questionable calls that kept scoring plays alive or ended them.

But yay for regular refs now.

Sure they had an impact, but certainly not to the extent that people are going to look back on the 2012 season and say 'oh, well that season had 3 weeks with replacement refs so let's put an asterisk on it'. That's ridiculous.

Let's just wait and see if the Pack miss out on the playoffs by one game. Not likely but possible.

If they miss the playoffs because of one blown game, they probably don't deserve to be there.

I'm just happy we won't have to hear any more complaints about the refs.

HA!

The Packers benefited from some bad calls in that game as well so it's hard to say who would have won if the real refs had of been there.

I just want to be able to watch a game with a little bit of pace to it. A game where there aren't arguments and debates after every call.

I don't expect the regular refs to be perfect. There will always be controversies. I just want a set of officials that have proven they can keep up with the game and know the rules.

I think some of the replacement refs did fine, and if they had been blended in with an experienced crew and given guidance and time to grow, they may have been able to have a career. But with them accepting to be put into that position it was too much for almost any crew to handle.

I'm as happy as anyone regarding this news. But these replacement refs have given us a lifetime of comedy, in a weird way I appreciate that.

True, but in a 16 game season crazy things can happen. Every game can mean a lot.

There's no doubt about that. The fact that the Packers were even in the position they were in tells you a lot about how well the Seahawk's D actual played. It's the old fight mantra, never leave it in the hands of the judges.

Disagree. What if the Giants had gotten screwed in a game last season? They only made the playoffs by beating the Cowboys in week 17. What if the Packers lose out on the wildcard to the Seahawks due to losing the head-to-head tie breaker to Seattle?

Then too damn bad. Should have won more games. The NFL ruled it is sticking with the result of the game right? Packers lost, Seahawks won. Move on to next week an try to win that game.

In some ways I'm glad the lockout occurred.
Its given me a new found respect for the abilities of the regular NFL ref and it certainly has highlighted what a difficult job it is.
I think the league now has a new respect for the refs too (both owners and players)
and now the league is now paying them comenserate with their skills. Just goes to show that these are elite refs and deserve to be paid like it.
I think the owners have learned a valuable lesson and I doubt this will ever be an issue again. The owners make hundreds of millions off the league and they were being cheapskates by fighting over a measly (in the overall aspect) of an extra $3 million (approximately $100,000 per team) for the refs.

The Giants won a game in Arizona last year that even they admitted to the media swung on a wiffed play by the officials. No win in Arizona = No playoffs for NYG.

Not gonna start a words war here, but you are quite naive to think that BB was the only one doing this back in the day.

Yes you are, we just got off this whole argument, no need to start it up again!

Score more then 12 points and don't let your QB get sacked 8 times. Really reminds me of the boxing/UFC saying "Don't leave the fight in the hands of the judges". You see Rodgers whining about the reffing when his offense was only able to put 12 points on the board, maybe he should have taken some credit for the loss due to his offense being outmatched by Seattles defense.

Really the Packers should be happy about the botched call since it has completely overshadowed the fact that they are not playing good football yet this season.
