This league isn't intended to be that though. It's completely open ended in how GMs want to operate in this league. Many want to play there games, where some may prefer to sim their games. This league is more catered to the former group than the later to be honest.

+1. If we wanted to sim entirely, there's the CPHL or other fantasy leagues for that.

I got him back, thanks!
This is wild. The CPU dropped 4 of my players (starting goalie, 2 centres and a winger). Thank god the only 1-way was Bernier, but due to an error I can't figure out, I can't call up OR send anybody down. My 4 guys were all rated mid 70's to low 80's, and have been replaced by guys ranging from 49-65.
I set my games to be able to be played by other people in case I wasn't around. I had no idea this would happen... what a mess.
I've asked probably 5 times now, but does anybody know how to drop guys or call them up when it won't let you do either? I'm so confused. Perhaps I'm at the cap floor and have too many players on my main squad. No clue.

perhaps we should implement a no-playing CPU rule so nobody's players gets dropped?

Yes but when we go the next new schedule when Jobo advances, games will be simmed. I think we should have a thread where we say which players should actually on waivers.

I think that's what's happening. I'm in the same situation too and it sucks.

i think the issue has been setting the games to allow others to play your CPU. i've had a sim game happen VS the CPU with no issues. i've also manually simmed VS the CPU with no issues

I don't know if that's the case for me, I don't have it set to let others play my AI.

I agree. I sure hope people are giving back anybody that they picked up on waivers due to this CPU madness.

even then i don't think it's going to help since you would lose players every time you set it to CPU and when you lose the players you can't use them till you get them back at the next advance
then there's also the issue that i'm having with kindl.....i picked kindl up and therefore he took up a roster spot. because he took up a roster spot that i freed up (could've called up wilie mitchell) and because i traded a defenseman in anticipation of playing mitchell. i had to ask if i was allowed to use kindl while he was on my team. but then for all we know injuries could strike, kindl could get hurt and then it becomes really complicated

I think this is the best strategy. A list of properly waived players, and any other guys are not fair game, and if claimed should be sent back.

This is totally related to the CPU setting up best rosters when someone plays your CPU. The CPU seems to have no issues completely screwing up the rosters and scratching a playing if their position does not match where they are currently playing.
What I noticed when I had CPU playing enabled is my roster would completely shift every time someone played my team. It didnt matter what lineup I selected the CPU changed it once someone hit that play the CPU option against my team. This sucks now because out of fear of losing a player I have disabled CPU play and will probably end up simming most of the season.

there are a lot of better sim software's then NHL 13 for properly gm'ing/managing a team, like the CPHL.
fun of this league is you get to play with a team you had a hand in building, to a certain extent.

I had 3 starters and it dropped Marty twice for me, the upside was he was not waiver eligable or else I would have lost him.

This is a killer and likely the reason I won't let anybody play my cpu. Kinda sucks that if I'm not available but somebody else is they don't get a say in how it works.

Looks like Washington dropped out of the league, according to the League News anyways.
Also good games to Anaheim and Phoenix.

Can we get a list of gm's that drop and then who is added for ease of adjusting our psn friends list?
Also, outofthecubr mentioned feeling vilified when it came to wanting to sim.
My issue is, what about the people wan
ting to play their games.
I feel that should be the priority. Nhl 13 allows simming as an option but ultimately, this is nit a sim league.
Why should those who are able to commit the time to play beung punished by waiting for a gm to not log in, not set his game to cpu play and not allow a "play" gm to have a say in the outcome?
I personally would rather lose under my own control then leaving it to chance.
If i get deployed, i know i have to set to cpu. By then i hope there is some sort of roster protection implemented.
