With Taylor on IL, looks like Stampeders will try LaMarcus Coker as a returner against Winnipeg and Armstead will not suit up until next game. I can see Anthony Parker returning some punt too replacing the injured Arjei Franklin on the lineup.
Kornegay — who joined the club as a free agent in July — was wearing a ball cap which hid injuries received on Sunday night outside of Flames Central, when he was “blindsided” in an altercation. The 30-year-old defensive back hasn’t practiced for a couple of days and yesterday the real story finally came out.
“A group of players were at a concert, there was an argument that occurred after the concert that followed into the parking lot,” explained Stamps’ head coach and GM John Hufnagel. “Things got escalated and that was about it. One of my players got blindsided. He should be fine. It dispersed quickly after that, the police came and as far as my knowledge there are no reports.”
An overzealous tweet had implied that a dispute had occurred between Kornegay and teammate Nik Lewis, but that was quickly proved erroneous. Lewis was one of several Stamps’ players at the Big Sean concert.
At first he tried to sell it as an equipment malfunction but later admitted that he made a mistake.
AFAIK he's still sticking to his story that he was readjusting his equipment (and frankly I see no reason not to believe him) but he's now backed off a bit and said that it was classless to do that in view of the crowd. Perhaps I'm a bit behind on this story. (no pun intended)
BTW why the hell does he still post at Riderfans? He gets about the same reception as Kesler would get on CP.

I think his story is that he really was adjusting his equipment (which I can see, the man just needs to learn to wear a belt properly) and he exaggerated what had to be adjusted. I think this is the most plausible explanation. Do I think it was a full blown 'moon'? Absolutely not, do I think he did more than he had to? Yep. Or at least grab a trainer to hold a towel up or something.
I'd be willing to bet that the wide angle shot of the field that the teams get for game film purposes picked it up and that has helped change his tune (also for the Stamps to get involved with discipline).
He likes RF because he likes the back and forth with the fans. He's stated this before. He also posts on cflhorsemen IIRC.
Was the CFL GC train in town yesterday? That sucks if I missed it. I didn't even know it was here yet.
I think it was in Calgary on Saturday, Okotoks Sunday and moving on to Lethbridge and beyond now. At least that is what I remember when it was mentioned on the radio last week.

Cornish needs to start acting a little more professionally. In that segment they showed on TSN where they asked him about Chamblin telling his D not to let him run for 100 yards or one of them would be let go, it was like it was a personal affront that he was asked the question, and he came across as a real d-bag. Then he chucks the ball at the feet of the ref when the latter is in his way - inadvertently - and is lucky not to get penalized big-time for it, and then he is mooning the crowd, be it on purpose or not.

Just my personal opinion but I actually like the fact he's so up front with everything, unlike a guy like Nik Lewis who I think is a total dbag and detrimental to his team, no matter how good he is as a receiver.
Jon is up front, blunt and speaks his mind. He's opinionated and he shows it.
That TSN segment on his reaction to Chamblin's challenge probably does rub most people the wrong way but I liked it because it shows that everything he says is off the cuff and not scripted. It isn't all just a bunch of BS trash talk like Lewis either, nor is it a bunch of PC crap that is filled with the same 20 cliches over and over.
Now a lot of people probably prefer the quiet guys that just go about their business or would argue that Cornish and Lewis' actions are not different. Maybe I'm just giving Cornish the benefit of the doubt because I kinda like the guy and I'll admit he needs to tone speaking his mind down a bit but I enjoy the fact he speaks his mind.

I have it on decent authority that Cornish is a pretty big D-bag in person. His actions in yesterday's game where he threw the ball and pointed at the ref were embarrassing for me to watch as a Stamps fan.
If it's even remotely true he mooned the fans then that's just a disgusting gesture and I'd hope the Stamps deal with it internally in a harsh manner.
I think Lewis used to be a jerk but this year when I went and watched camp was the first time where truly Lewis seemed to have matured. He has the odd bone head moment but he is a leader and my dislike for him is now due to him being a darn good receiver on an opposing team. Like I said in the game thread yesterday, he may go down as the greatest ever receiver in CFL history.
Cornish on the other hand has some serious growing up to do. I thought he was mostly behind his selfish actions from the first month but Saskatchewan really rattled him. I think Chamblin got inside his head with his guarantee.

I disagree with you but you at least have some supporting ideas behind your (incorrect) opinion. However, I much prefer Lewis to Cornish, Lewis seems like the kind of guy who realizes the game is a show as much as anything else, and I watch all his actions with that in mind.
