A little respect for the opponent who just kicked your ass maybe?
Respect needed, but I'd hold my head in shame if you were a defensive player on Carolina. How many times did a NYG receiver catch the ball with nobody withing 5 feet of him? Just attrocious defense. Eli carved them up good.

Huh? He gives credit to their skill in the passage you quoted. The fact is at this level to get your ass handed to you the way it was comes down to a failure to execute. No defense in the NFL is going to manhandle another team to that degree if the offense is executing. The Giants didn't do anything all that incredible, they did what they always do and the Panthers executed poorly enough to make a good performance by that D a dominant one.

This is yet another case of the media manufacturing controversy to fill air time.

Umm, no....he says they have great talent, but that doesn't matter to him because the Panthers also have good talent on offense. He thinks at their best the Panthers offense could beat the Giants defense at their best, a delusional thought at best (at the Giants D best, Cam would be getting sacked 10 times a game). Its just like Green Bay and their players saying the same thing last year when the Giants beat them in the playoffs, saying it was them beating themselves. Scoreboard is scoreboard, don't play the "We beat ourselves" card. Just take your loss like a man and move on. I didn't hear Peyton Manning say that after Monday night.

And that he still celebrated a TD with his Superman dance, even as they were getting their ass kicked, shows he still has a long way to go in the maturity department.

I shouldn't have bothered responding as soon as I saw the 'Scam' in the original post. It's pretty clear that you don't want to have an intelligent conversation on the subject. I mean c'mon, you've basically manufactured a statement all on your own out of half a sentence. You should apply at ESPN, that kind of garbage analysis turned into controversy would fit in well there.

Who exactly said it was a "controversy"? I sure didn't, but thanks for trying to put words into my mouth. In fact, no one is saying this is a controversy. I just said he should have more respect for his opponents in defeat. The Giants were the better team last night. Maybe, just maybe, Carolina played awful because the Giants forced them too? A B-level Giants team at that, when you consider their injuries. A fully healthy Giants team would have hung 50 on Carolina.

Eli is the perfect example for him. Win or lose, Eli is gonna give you the same stoic-type reaction after the game. Cam is letting the highs and lows get to him too much. But the Eli's and Brady's of the game? Nah, they just keep it in the cool and calm range regardless. Cam may or may not learn, but again his reaction after scoring a TD to made sure they didn't get shut out was pathetic. Down 3 scores, just turn around and hand the ball to the ref.

Tune into ESPN then buddy.

The fact is he didn't say anything disrespectful to the Giants, he put the blame on himself. The Giants did what the Giants do, they played good defense, but there's no way that Newton and the Panters O should have had the night that they did. The blame is at their feet.

Considering the only good offensive game they've had this year is against a horrible Saints D, maybe its possible other teams D's have figured out how to beat Cam? It really is exceeding simply to beat him: Take away the run from them, and Cam becomes a one dimensional QB. Tampa and the Giants both did it and held Carolina to 10 and 7 points respectively. I don't think its Carolina playing bad, I think teams now have game film on Cam and know how to beat him.

OR, it's Newton not executing when his preferred options aren't there.

You can spin it as Newton not doing his job or as the D doing there's, both get you to the same point.

You can spin last nights game however you like but the fact of the matter is it wasn't just the Panthers offense and Newton, their D was horrendous!

How many third and long conversions or 20+ yd plays did the Giants have? You can't make anything happen on offense when your offense isnt on the field.

Sounds like both of them are being D-bags, but I'm siding with Scott. The media in this market is so incredibly slimy, the guy probably deserves to get his ass kicked.

I am on Bart Scott's side on this one, the reporter is being an idiot.

Scott is boycotting the media since he doesn't agree with their thoughts on the team, has been since the start of the season, and that is his own decision to make.

But then you have this idiot who is clearly trying to rile Scott up but going out and taking unauthorized pictures of him in the locker room. Honestly any reporter who is going around trying to rile up players and is taking pictures in the locker room deserves to have Scott "Kick the #### out of them".

The media really pisses me off with how entitled they act sometimes.

I finally had enough of Scott Cullen and signed up for twitter so I can ask him WTF about him dropping San Francisco behind Houston. The Texans beat a terrible Jacksonville team, while the Niners really had their game all the way against a good opponent after beating Green Bay in Lambeau.

Tough news for Ravens WR Torrey Smith...

Baltimore Ravens receiver Torrey Smith's younger brother Tevin was killed in a motorcycle crash.

Torrey Smith left the Ravens' hotel on Sunday at 2 a.m. ET, accompanied by a member of the Ravens' security staff, to be with his family.

Smith told Ravens coach John Harbaugh that he wanted to play in Sunday night's game against the New England Patriots, according to a source. Harbaugh told him that it was Smith's call to make.

On Sunday, Smith put the following message on his Twitter account:
"I can't believe my little brother is gone...be thankful for your loved ones and tell them you love them...this is the hardest thing ever."

Not a lot of people don't know this but Torrey was a father figure to Tevin and his siblings growing up. As he gotta into his teens he raised his siblings with his mom. My thoughts and prayers are with Torrey and his family during this very difficult time.

Cowboys are so damn sloppy, and what is with the putrid O-line??

I cheer for the most frustrating collection of teams ever.
