Default Man Donates Comic Books to Hospital

Nice One, and his name is D-o-u-c-h-e-r

The badword filter took it out. Just think his name should be known.

Quote:
A local comic book collector is hoping to help sick kids at the Alberta Children's Hospital temporarily forget what they are going through with help from more than 2,500 classic stories of heroes and villains like Superman and the Green Lantern.
"We had taken our daughter here a few times, and I thought what a great way for these kids to escape what they are going through," said Chris ######r.
He is donating 95 per cent of his comic book collection, which is valued at close to $9,000.

"I had a huge collection of comics, over 3,000 comics," he said.
"And I decided, 'What could I do with these.' You know, I could try to sell them, but that would be too much work and I thought about the kids in the hospital here."

Great gesture! Course alot of these comics, prob 90% aren't really meant for kids. Also his collection is prob worth closer to $2000 than $9000.

No offence taken. I have like 500 of the same star wars graphic novel. I wouldn't mind donating them but i doubt any hospital or school would take them, with people getting beheaded and limbs lost from a lightsabre.

But i'm willing to give them to you guys for free! My next show is Saturday Nov. 3! hehe.

hmm not really. I doubt they'll take them. It's not like i have whole runs. I get alot of multiple same books, but its not like a choice to choose when i buy this stuff from liquidation.

I would gladly give my over 500 copies of a Harlequin romance manga comic to the library. Get this, it's not color and it's not black and white. It's pink and white!!!! insane!!

I think you would be surprised especially rural libraries.

Limbs chopped off eh...I'll take one of those if you have 500. Also, when you end your "hehe"'s with a period, it makes it sound like a very montone "hehe" and it sounds weird with the made up voice I've given you.
