Fishing for a compliment. Usually it happens when a hot woman says how ugly or fat she is.

With no context I assumed those quotes from Dan were in jest and out of affection, not that Dan's been a stand up guy or anything, just don't see a reason to piss off Danielle should she possibly enters the jury house.

Does Survivor consistently outdraw BB for TV ratings?

Can't stand the final results, hands down Dan should have won.

I don't even like this show!

Yes. BB is a summer show which is a low rating season. It's essentually "filler" TV. Hence why it's got lower prize money then the others.

Also: Woooo! Ian teh winnah. Hope his heart doesn't explode tonight. Wonder what was up with Jenn's vote? I figured her to be in the Dan column for sure.

I was actually shocked at how well he handled the questions and speech... I though Dan would destroy him in both (but still win because the questions and speech don't really change much nowadays) but he held his own.

Dan threw that last competition. And he should have taken Danielle to the end. He would have had a better chance against her because she really didn't have much of a game other than do what Dan told her while being tight with Shane.

What a terrible ending. No way that Ian deserved to win that.

He absolutely deserved to win. Yeah, yeah, Dan made two big splashy moves and was the best strategic player but his social game stunk (Jury Management is important yo) and he lost a step from his competition game in S10. I thought Ian made a very compelling case for why he deserved to win.

Congratulations to Ian. When it was down to those 2, I had the vote as 5-2 Ian. I'm surprised that Jenn voted for Ian. I thought Dan had locks in Danielle and Jenn.

Joe and Frank hold grudges so I knew Dan had no shot with them. They both would have voted for Danielle too.

Dan made the best moves of the season to get to the final. He saved his bacon so many times. Unlike BB10 where he had locks in votes with Keesha, Renny, etc, he didn't have locks in votes this season. Also it seemed like people held grudges a lot more this season then BB10. Ollie/Michelle forgave Dan where he did the same thing to them yet Shane/Joe didn't at all.

Dan said he won't do another season so all-stars is out of the question for him, but without him and the other coaches; Frank and Ian would get my vote to return. I think they will bring Shane back because like Dan said, he is "Captain America".

After watching 2 seasons a piece of them, Dan and Dr. Will are the 2 best players in the game for me (Tied).

This is only my third year of watching this show, so maybe my take is unrefined, but I was going for either Ian or Frank for the last month. Dan is just such a greasy SOB, I don't know how he expected to get any votes. His whole demeanor is that of a pushy knowitall, who lies and blows sunshine up your ass to trick you into doing what he wants. And the complete mind fu**ing he gave Danielle? The chick must have Stockholm Syndrome, as she was the only vote for Dan.
I don't know about you, but I hate people like Dan. But since this is a game, I guess I have to acknowledge that Dan did what he had to do to get as far as he can. He reminds me of the Canucks in many ways.

After the whole season I don't think Dan comes close to Will

you can't compare them to people who have played twice because you come in at a disadvantage, Will basically played the same game twice, Dan couldn't at all and played a game he had no chance to win

what people seem to overlook

he fully expected to win when he hasn't had a chance for about a month

If it had been a Dan and Danielle final two, and Danielle won I would be way more upset than I am now.

Why? The guy came into the game with what should have been the largest target on his back and ended up with 0 eviction votes...again.

Jury management is part of the game and he did mess up there. But to get to that stage you need to actually survive until the jury and at least in his second season he got there. His play obviously wasn't perfect or else he would have won but at the same time when someone like Jenn is voting for Ian because Dan's already won that's not really something you can fault on him. And I don't know if I would really fault him for Frank either, Frank was just a bitter baby voter and for a "superfan" that's really disappointing. I think Britney was on the fence, so really his biggest mistake was how Shane's eviction occurred where he completely lost any chance for that vote. Sometimes in games like poker there's just no way of winning a hand regardless how much better you are.

Anyways, anyone who can have BOTH his opponents tank in a final HoH competition is at least on par with Will in my opinion.

I'm very happy for Ian. Dan deserved it based on gameplay, but I'm glad Ian won. I love the genuine happiness every other houseguest seems to have for him winning. Good on ya Ian.
