I expect them to lose one more if not two games this year. USC has 70 scholarship players and that doesn't sound like much of a drop off from 85 but that is a huge difference in a couple of you players getting a breather in a game and getting tired.
Now if FSU can lose or will lose they can get rid of those two overrated teams this year.

I guess Lane needed to pilfer more PSU players ... and cut his own in the process.

That wasn't even particularly close down the stretch. I mean the score was, but not the physical battle.

By the time Texas plays WVU. It should be a battle of top 10s then Texas goes to Dallas for the Red River Shootout. Should know if they are pretenders after those two games. If David Ash plays like he did on Saturday, then Texas can compete with anyone (excluding Alabama).

Ok St. is not going to be UT's demise, also they have a bye next weekend. WVU or OU most likely will beat them, but I am hopeful. I just want a 10 win season and I think that's a reasonable expectation after the first 3 games. I see only WVU and OU beating them, but you never know.

While we may all have different favorite teams or conferences, I think all college football fans can agree: Lane Kiffin is a major dbag.
Quote:
USC coach Lane Kiffin might haveset a record today for the shortest press conference given by a college football coach.
By now, you probably know that Kiffin doesn’t want to talk about injuries and was willing to go to great lengths to make sure they’re not reported. But there’s not much Kiffin can do when he’s asked about them directly… except walk out on the press conference 30 seconds in… which was the case after Wednesday’s practice. When asked about a player’s participation in practice, Kiffin said “I don’t know” before adding “I gotta go” and walking off.

Never said that Ole Miss was an impressive team, just that I have been impressed with Ash's performance. If you watched last year and this year, Ash looks like a different QB. Just look at his stats so far this season vs. last year. UT is a legit 10 win team if Ash is a legit QB. That's all my statement implied. They have one of the top D's in the land and no one can argue that they have 3 RBs that would start on 95% of all other teams with the top high school RB this year and last year, plus Joe Bergeron. Oline and QB were the question marks this year and Ash has looked impressive so far, albeit against not very good competition, but that was better than last year when he looked bad against everyone.
CMP ATT YDS CMP % YPA LNG TDS INT Sacks Rating
2012 55 72 703 76.4 9.76 55 7 0 2 190.5
2011 99 174 1079 56.9 6.20 48 4 8 16 107.4
If this is Ash truly getting better UT could be in the picture at the end of the year as they have all the other pieces, but I am really just hoping for 10 wins.

So which terrible team is OU going to lose to so they are knocked out of the title picture?
