Going through reviews on washers and dryers. Anyone have a brand that has been good to them or terrible?

Does anyone know where to get cheap bulk foreign coins? I'm looking for some for my kid to play with, and to use them boardgaming.

We've been very happy with our Kenmore washer and dryer and the extended warranty that Sears offers is amazing. Basically, if you don't use the warranty you get the money you spent completely refunded. We bought during the "Black Friday" sale last year and the 60 day price policy allowed us to use the "Boxing Day" sale prices if necessary. Essentially, we saved about $400 doing it this way instead of just buying during the "Boxing Day" sale. All in all, we bought a fridge, stove, microwave, washer, and dryer and saved about $2500. The best part was we were able to get much better appliances that fit into our budget than we thought we were going to be able to.

On the negative side, the delivery service was awful, but that also meant we got another $200 refund off our total price.

What kind of hive is this? I suspect it felt from the pine tree in our backyard. It is devoid of any bees, and is just smaller than a tennis ball.

Took me a couple of minutes to find that thing.

That's a wasp/hornets nest.

It just seemed kind of small to house a lot of wasps.

Looking for an idea to embarrass / make fun of a senior level employee turning 50.
Will take place in front of 100 employees in Las Vegas. Looking for funny but classy idea.

Morning traffic coming in on McLeod Tr. from south of the city has basically tripled or more in the last week.

Usually you do see a bump from summer volumes after Sept 1 but this is pretty ridiculous, a veritable gong show compared to the norm.

Any idea what's causing it and how long it might last?

The brutally slow road construction on Elbow Drive has probably caused a lot of people to use McLeod.

Kids in school is the primary cause for sure.

My theory is that in addition to buses on the roads, you get parents who drive their kids to school. These parents often drive further, backtrack and just generally spend more time on the road, even if they are on the way to work themselves.

These slowdowns ripple though and make everyone just a little bit later which, in addition to the lack of vacation, crams more people into the same roads, where before they would spread out a bit because people have the freedom to show up a little early to avoid traffic or get some extra work done.

For example, if I am dropping my niece and nephew off at school, I need to get to Heritage and Macleod (roughly). Then I would need to get to work downtown. That means for a good portion of the time I need to be on a major route to get downtown, whereas normally I just run down Odgen road and cut across by the Stamplede grounds. I also need to get them to school no earlier than 8am, whereas before I would try and get to work by 7:30-8:00 most days.
