If you pre-ordered with Telus, did you get the confirmation email?
|
I did, with Telus, lastnight at 1am.
I received my confirmation email immediately.
I then ordered another for my wife (we're on the same account). The second I hit "Process Payment" I received the confirmation email for that as well.
Double check the email you have on file with Telus and check your junk folder (though I'm sure you've done that a million times by now).
Good luck.

I don't have iCloud services or photostream running usually, but I do try to quit as many apps as possible. =P
For people planning to line up at Apple Stores, they might not be selling unlocked 5s on the 21st (just contract ones):

That would suck if true, but it'd reduce the lineups at the stores...

Hmmm....
I don't think that will happen, but who knows. Hmm, guess its true? Interesting decision. Not that online wasn't 100* easier.
Unlocked phones fly off, at 700$+ its pretty good revenue. Not to mention it takes about 2 minutes to sell an unlocked phone and like 20-30 minutes for the others, particularly when the inevitable systems crash.

I PDF'ed the confirmation page, which has a credit card auth #, so I'm sure I'll be OK - the order info there is all in order, so who knows where the email went. I'll call tomorrow I suppose

Looks to be confirmed now. If they really have cut back staff at Apple Stores, then I can see them wanting to reduce those lineups next Friday... but I agree, selling unlocked phones would be much easier, so this move seems backwards.

If you're due for an upgrade, this is precisely what you'll receive. A significant one. If you're not, wait. Something will come out next year. Promise.

I think the vast majority ARE that reasonable. How many in this thread, including myself, said that they are still on the 3GS? It's just that everyone who buys anything Apple get tarred and feathered with the reputation of a few.

No carrier has ever had ample supply. They always run out 15 minutes in.
Same as people thinking the apple store will slow down, it won't. Expect lineups for 2 weeks.

Carriers pay a lot more than $700 to Apple if they get people on to 3 year commitments.

It's still amazing to me that carriers have gotten away with 3 year contracts in this country.

I was elligible for an upgrade with Bell after around 20 months of my 36 month contract. So I would say a lot has to do with the provider that you are with.

I don't really see why they mad to make the phone itself bigger just to get an extra half inch out of the screen. Just looking at that picture you can see where they could have ditched a little bit more of the bezel off each end. I wonder if, in addition to seeing that the market wants bigger phones, they needed the extra space for all the LTE stuff.

Yeah, I loaded up the image in an image editor and the distance between the top and bottoms of the screen and the top and bottom of the phone is smaller so they did take off part of the bezel. Probably as you say they needed some extra space for whatever electronics and battery they felt they needed.
