At least they're showing some signs of life. Some of the corner kicks are just terrible, though.

Ya they're in tough now... best hope is to really crush Cuba at home by 3 or 4 and hope Honduras loses in Panama... at least then Honduras will need to win by 2 or 3 at home against Canada because getting a result there is as tough a task as there is in CONCACAF - it makes Panama look like Columbus.

They are just walking out there. This is embarrassing. Why aren't the midfielders supporting the forwards?

I should have known better with Canada's mens program not being willing to seize an opportunity to force the rest of the pool to run the table.
They need to look at themselves in the mirror and understand why for years they have not accomplished what they work for in practices.
This loss is all on their total lack of confidence in themselves and each other.
Unless this entire team is sick with the flu or some draining virus this was a very discouraging display lacking competitve play tonight.

This has been a most disappointing effort. Certainly makes it much harder to make the hex but there is still a chance! Support them through to the end

I bet if you told Hart and co that they'd pick up 3 points from this set with Panama they'd have taken it going in. They're alive and well going into the final two games although it will be a little uphill unless Cuba gets a goal late tonight. If they can put the boots to Cuba at home and grab a few goals they'll put some pressure back on Honduras.

What in the past 25 years makes you believe that this team will ever have luck go for them? Or that they are capable of "Winning Out" when they need to?
Pssh they're as good as done. Put a fork in them.

One day I wish that the media would make a big fuss about how much we suck instead of allowing the country to be complacent with far-worse-than-mediocre play.
For gods sake Montreal has more people than Panama and probably a higher GDP yet we can't find 11 players in our population (that is 10x the size of theirs) that are at least above average on the international stage?
Boo-urns.

Well hopefully they learn their lesson about what kind of effort is required to get a result away from home. Going to be a massive game in Honduras.

Getting no sleep doesn't help.
Canada can't play without De Rosario, the ball always goes through him.
Ricketts is useless, he reminds me of Lombardi.

Losing Occean i thought was a big since he can hold up the ball and wait for help. Simeon Jackson and Ricketts, although quick, can't hold the ball on their own.
Also, Will Johnson missing the game was also a big loss in this game. I thought his energy was contagious back on Friday and the team missed that tonight.

Well eff. Certainly not the end of the road, but a point sure would have been nice. Splitting the matches with Panama isn't anything to be too upset about, but the earlier draw to Honduras at home is definitely a case of two points lost instead of one point gained. That might come back and bite Canada in the ass more than the loss to Panama.
Still, they largely control their own destiny. Make amends and beat Honduras away (no small task), and don't screw up against Cuba. But there's no margin for error anymore.

Well that sucked! I wasn't expecting anything more than a tie in Panama (and that would have been a stretch), but that was just a disappointing effort.
Can still get into the hex with the below scenario, although it's counting on a lot of help that we didn't need before last night:
- Canada wins over Cuba
- Canada wins/draws Honduras
- Panama wins over Honduras (if Canada beats Honduras this won't matter)
Could also get in on goal differential in some scenarios but I can't do the math right now.

The news isn't very good about De Rosario.
Steven Goff @SoccerInsider Dwayne De Rosario suffered likely MCL knee injury for Canada. MRI in DC Thu. Depending on severity, he'd probably miss 10 days to 4-5 weeks
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...e377_blog.html
The team really looks lost without him and that certainly doesn't bode well for the key future matches. Hopefully the MRI results aren't as bad as suspected.
