Since the city had not yet won the Olympics in 1980, I would argue they likely expanded their ownership group to include Hotchkiss, Green, Kwong and Scurfield to help mitigate the risk that they would have to finance the arena themselves.

Now, there are obvious differences between building a facility and trying to build a market. I'm not saying Jamison will succeed. In fact, I doubt very much that he will ever make the Coyotes profitable. But the fact that he and his partners are each willing only to assume a certain amount of risk, thus requiring more investors, is not prima facie evidence that they do not have the financial ability to support the investment.

All it tells me for certain is that they know this is a risky investment.

The Glendale city council met Aug. 27 during a closed executive session meeting, and ultimately decided to allow their arena management agreement with the NHL to be extended for one more month to allow potential Phoenix Coyotes buyer Greg Jamison more time to develop funds to purchase the team.

Sure there are other factors in purchasing the team but the main one is, does Jamison have the money? Until recently he didn't.

There was never a question whether the Flames owners had the money. It has been reported all over the internet that Jamison has been short of money and you know it. So take your games somewhere else.

He's had trouble getting backers willing to finance this deal that's why he's had to get extensions. Now that the CoG agreement may be changed, I'd say he could be in trouble and not willing to go ahead. If you're serious, your understanding of simple arithmetic reminds me of some dumb republican. If you're not serious, you're just continuing your status as a troll.
