Then what was that announcement during the playoffs all about? I thought the NHL was already on board...

You are taking a statement, applying your own extreme bias to it, and pretending it to be fact. Par for the course with you.
The truth is, we all know the Coyotes are going to be a money losing proposition for a fair bit of time, even with the $17 million subsidy. The purpose behind an investment group in this case is probably to share the responsibility for those losses. The group can weather the time needed to see if the franchise can turn around in its current market in a way that a single owner, or a couple of investors, cannot.
I would suggest - and this is my personal opinion - that the creation of the Calgary Flames could be held out as a similar example. The Seaman brothers had the money to buy the Atlanta Flames themselves. But bringing a team to Calgary was always conditional on the building of a new arena. Since the city had not yet won the Olympics in 1980, I would argue they likely expanded their ownership group to include Hotchkiss, Green, Kwong and Scurfield to help mitigate the risk that they would have to finance the arena themselves.
Now, there are obvious differences between building a facility and trying to build a market. I'm not saying Jamison will succeed. In fact, I doubt very much that he will ever make the Coyotes profitable. But the fact that he and his partners are each willing only to assume a certain amount of risk, thus requiring more investors, is not prima facie evidence that they do not have the financial ability to support the investment.
All it tells me for certain is that they know this is a risky investment.

Yeah, it's down in black and white but I'm biased. Get lost, I don't need your trolling. Here's more, what have you got to offer?

The Glendale city council met Aug. 27 during a closed executive session meeting, and ultimately decided to allow their arena management agreement with the NHL to be extended for one more month to allow potential Phoenix Coyotes buyer Greg Jamison more time to develop funds to purchase the team.

Sure there are other factors in purchasing the team but the main one is, does Jamison have the money? Until recently he didn't.

Ahh yes, we can add thin skinned to all your other faults. I'm not going anywhere, Vulcan. You are free to leave yourself if you can't handle pointed criticism of your tripe.
As to your latest link, I will merely refer you back to the third paragraph of my previous post.

There was never a question whether the Flames owners had the money. It has been reported all over the internet that Jamison has been short of money and you know it. So take your games somewhere else.

Your inability to comprehend simple concepts that aren't even an attempt to say you're wrong, but to simply point out that acquiring capital for something like this isn't as simple as seeing what you've got in your pockets and adding it up, is absolutely incredible.

The original point was that Jamison didn't have the money to put together this deal. What Jamison has in his pockets, I never mentioned. He's had trouble getting backers willing to finance this deal that's why he's had to get extensions. Now that the CoG agreement may be changed, I'd say he could be in trouble and not willing to go ahead. If you're serious, your understanding of simple arithmetic reminds me of some dumb republican. If you're not serious, you're just continuing your status as a troll.

Please re-read Resloute's post, slower if need be, it spells out the point we have both made quite clearly.

Children.. please. Just wait until Monday's press conference where Jamison is handing Shane Doan a Coyotes jersey to wear for the remainder of his career.

I've never said otherwise, in fact I've quite clearly stated that without access to his finances I could never know for sure. Which is why I have not spoken in absolutes.

Sorry, but the word 'Monday' has lost any meaning. If I was a Coyotes fan (namely, you) I would dread that day. It is a symbol of everything that has been wrong with this franchise.

Not sure what the intended implication was, but that's the same number they broadcast last year.

The Coyotes then get relocated on Tuesday, and Shane Doan retires Wednesday?
