Say for example that Canada hadn't won the War of 1812 and the US ended up with the St. Lawrence seaway as a result. Fine and dandy war lost, territory lost. NOW hypothetically, they continue to claim land over the last two centuries using tactics of oppression and intimidation, pushing the Canadian population into smaller and smaller confines. How long until we conservative Canadians are fanatics? I think Israel carries a lot of responsibility for their current plight and we should't be aligning with them in any capacity, physical or symbolic. I would agree that not a single Canadian life should be risked in the defence of Israel.
