Farming Act 3 Saturday I got 2 legendaries. A level 53 bow called "Cluckeye" and a crappy stat rolled 62 belt. I can't believe they allow stuff that low to drop in Act 3.

I tried my best to sneak in as much Magic Find as I could afford to. I was Paragon Level 16 before University started...won't get to lvl 17 until after December now haha.
How do you survive A2+ Inferno without any resists. I was getting owned until I changed my gear to have 500 resists and 45k life. Lot of kiting I guess since you have high damage? Even with 40k life and 150 resists I was getting 2 shotted by some A3 mobs.

Had about 5-6 legandaries drop so far. 1 post 1.04. Hellrack that rolled not so good. I have yet to find anything that has sold for more than 1M. Only way I made a bit of coin was selling unidentified items before the hack was discovered and sometimes getting a good buy through bids and reselling for a few hundred k profit. I't would be nice to be able to buy 7-8M items lol.

I can actually easily do act 3 by: 1) surviving by being quick with smoke screen (and using it a lot because I have 49 discipline), and 2) as you guessed, high damage. Only act 3 champ that kill me A LOT are the fast hulking phasebeasts

But without resist, I have to realllly keep my eyes open for projectiles . I cannot yet afford to have all my current stats AND all resist - too expensive!

Ive sold a few rares for 8 mil and my highest legendary sale was this belt that I sold for 3mil. As soon as gold comes in, I spend it right away on items, fearing that if I hoard gold for long, its going to really drop in value fast. So mostly I am carrying 2-3 mil in stash. Item that id call "Great" are sold for minimum 50 mil - to buy those you either need to save gold for a looong time, or hit the jackpot!

Yeah a months(?) ago, sellin unID items was a geat thing because both people with low gold and high gold benefited. Also, being smart on AH, like you were, is also a good way to earn gold fast. I've bought things for 50k that I resold for over 500k

I get a legendary drop at least once every couple days, and they are all worth less than a million. It's all random, though, so one day I'll get something elite, I just have to be patient.

I play fairly regularly and later at night. Feel free to ad me at Pacem#1268. I mostly do butcher runs and have been plugging away at act 3 when im bored. Butcher runs are fast and easy so I haven't bother farming act 2 too much. From my understanding you want to try and get to the point that you are farming act 3. I still die a fair bit in act 3 so don't really farm it and haven't beaten it yet. On the last part of the quest tho.

I've got about 250 hours played IIRC between my two level 60's. Just hit paragon 10 on the toon i play most of the time. I've found 2 legionaries since 1.04. I found 4 prior to 1.04. Every legendary i've found has been total crap. They did up the rare drops by quite a bit, but I basically feel like i'm just getting more crap. The most expensive item i've sold was for 4m and that was a rare chest piece. I'm super picky with the items I throw in my stash to sell on the AH. And the few items I do keep to sell don't really sell anymore. Its all stuff im selling for less then 500k too.

So I decided to sell most of my gear and use the gold to buy the Immortal King's set (minus weapon). Unfortunately I spent way more than I planned on the chest armor and was left bargain hunting for the other pieces. The last piece I needed was the belt and there was a somewhat okay one for cheap with no buyout and 5 minutes left but I was about 100K short. I couldn't even put the few items I have for value up for cheap because of the 5 minute timer so instead I was left trying to sell all the spare gems, tome of secrets and plans I had laying around. Luckily my emeralds sold in time and I was able to complete the set.

I'm dirt poor with no pants so the set bonuses better be worth it

Well, I have 10mil gold, several nice pieces sitting in the stash, can't make up my mind whether to gear up DH or a CM wizzard. Decisions, decisions!

Yeah I was doing the nightstalker build with SS and Shadow Power Gloom with only 40 disc before but wanted a change so I am now running a ToC DH which requires a lot more resists since you run into big packs all the time and need to be able to take a few hits even with SS or Shadow Power Gloom.

Yeah a few small wins in AH has helped me get some gold to gear up with. Also did some bargain finding and get a few good buys to be ok geared. Yeah the really good stuff is just ridiculous in cost.

Battle.net post about changes coming in 1.05. Surprised they are doing it so quickly, thought maybe a 1.04b to fix some of the issues they wanted would have sufficed.

Looks like we got Ubers coming back, which I'm also surprised happened so quickly. DII took an expansion and 3 years before Uber Diablo showed up, I believe.

Another nerf to monsters though? Assuming that WW/Sprint barbs isn't changed I expect we'll be seeing a lot more WW/Sprint/Rend barbs (no Warcry) popping up and without drastic changes to the other classes and skills that could create an even bigger gap because Rend is OP as ####.

I'd be really happy if the Ubers were actually difficult (like pre 1.03 Inferno) to give some real end game content until PvP comes out. Looks like another step in the right direction, of course my only complaint is no PvP, gotta get on the B.Net.

I got out of D2 before this uber stuff (or just never knew about it). Looks pretty fun, should keep more people playing.

Jay plays a WW barb so I wouldn't hold my breath. They'll nerf every other char but wouldn't touch barbs. But meh, as long as they don't touch Storm Chaser (they probably will, who am I kidding) I'm all good.

I got 6 legendaries today in about 4 hours of actual grinding. I kept getting good drops so I kept going but I've about reached my limit

The first 4 were crap and only worth their Brimstone (Warmonger, Promise of Glory, Wizardspike, and Sledge of Athejskjsahhkasad) the last 2 were decent though, Band of Hollow Whispers and a 1200 damage Windforce with some dex.

That's 3 Saturdays in a row with multiple Legendary drops now, would I be a complete crackpot to start believing an increase rate during Weekends to addict the "casuals" or something?

I'm level 23 now. I haven't found a legendary since I was level 14.

That makes me feel a little better. I've found 2 ever - Lv 6 monk helm (in normal pony level) and lv 14 daibo (random Act 1 nightmare drop).

Maybe now that my barb is good enough to move from Butcher runs to Magda runs, I'll do better!

Finally got around to trying out the gear Shawnski was generous enough to donate to me, it certainly made a difference. I wouldn't say Act II is a cakewalk, I still die quite a bit, repair costs are still tough, I think my net cash on the night is 0, found some interesting stuff but nothing that'll probably sell for more than a few 10's of thousands, but I'm progressing anyway.

Maghda was a cakewalk, always amazes me how it'll take me 3-4 deaths to beat some elite pack but the bosses fall like nothing.

bosses really have the same skills over and over, just more damage and life... champs and unique guys get 2 or 3 skills, which is more then any boss.... the right combo is hell.

OK, I didn't get on that bandwagon this weekend (nor this week)... I went from Paragon level 20 to level 24 without a sniff of anything decent! I was thinking the Saturday effect might be there, but nope. Not on this front. I did, however, level up from Paragon 20 to 24.

Oh, and Photon, glad your hand me downs worked! LOL. I still have a ton of stuff to upgrade your followers, just was too busy lately to figure out what is best. I have to have a garage sale....

Edit... Photon, what is your preferred follower at this point?

Usually switch between the Enchantress (crowd control) and the Scoundrel. I gave him a cold 2h bow (not even a very good one) and I could notice a difference.
