Default Free 27" CRT TV

Free 27" Hitachi tube TV (SD) to a good home. No remote but compatible with the Telus/Cisco univeral remote. Still works great. Picture quality is fine. Coax/RCA hookups. Pickups only please but can help you move it to curb. Also accepting suggestions for places to donate TVs. (When did it get so hard to give a TV away?)

PM if interested

CRT TVs are a dime a dozen these days. I saw a guy charging $70 for a 19" Toshiba CRT TV on Kijiji earlier this year. He'd get that much for it if it was 2003.

Your best option is to recycle it at one of those rehabilitation recycling centres.

Sweet, I was looking at the DI website earlier but it's not clear what it is they do/ do not accept-- think it'll be the backup plan though. A lot of charities do not accept these older TVs and it's easy to take it to a recycling place but it still works fine so I don't want to see it go to waste (reuse>recycle). Anyways FlamesFan, it has one coaxial input, one set of RCA inputs, and and an RCA type audio output (L/R) for external speakers. No S-video. I used to run an RCA switch to switch between PS2, Dreamcast, etc. (http://ncix.com/products/?sku=12653). PM for pickup deets!

I took our old one to the Staples electronic recycling the other day. There was about 10 other ones that day. I can't believe people are charging for them.

The newer CRTs from 2006-07 are still good.. They have HDMI ports on them.
