Parts of the west side of S'toon are sketchier than any part of Calgary.

The far end of 20th Street W. is definitely the last place you want to be alone at night. The Riversdale portion isn't that sketch, but once you get past Ave H it's pretty mean.

You're just pissed because they tore the Barry Hotel down while you're too young to get in.

For most people anything east of Deerfoot and north of 50th Ave. S is NE.

1. I currently do not live nor have I ever lived in Calgary. Forgive my lack of knowledge surrounding the local geography.

2. You guys seem to complain about the Northeast dragging the rest of the city down.

This.

If we're talking physical location, sure, they're in the SE, but for all intents and purposes, its a part of the NE.

Says she died in a drug house; Gimp, were you aware of that house was being used as such?

Always fascinates me how sometimes things are 180* different inside from how some houses & people appear from the outside.

The Herald has an article up on this now:

People, if you put stupid/racy/questionable pictures up on facebook, the media will publish them if you die.

I talked to a cop friend today about this case,of course he couldn't say much but he did say the place was "well known" for drugs, gangs and weapons. I asked him, if you know for a fact whats going on in these places why let them continue? He just shrugged!

What fascinates me is your treated more as a criminal in this country if you owe GST 10 grand than if you make a million tax free selling drugs or guns.

I'm not getting what is stupid/racy/questionable about the photo. She's wearing shorts and a tank top. Or is it the look on her face that makes you think the photo "questionable"? I knew this girl and while she had demons, she was really nice if not a bit nieve. Pretty sad.

I watched global news at 6 and they interviewed her father. Pretty sad. Sounded like she had alot going for her but couldn't escape the demons.
